OP, Technically, were you not warned by previous threads on bad trans tunes from RPM!Yet, you went there anyways?

To make it worse - as a sign of "being cool" he encouraged his friend to pay them for a build as well!

I have never understood stroking tuners/shops in hopes of maybe better service or future favors.

I understand it was a rant I was not in the mood to be correct, now I have to put out more money on something that was good
Common, the shitty tune/service doesn't make it "cool" you posted a 400 word sentence. We understand you got a shitty deal but make a proper post or copy and paste randoms post as mentioned. I've been back to this thread 3 times to read the responses and I still haven't made it thru the original post.....

If you want your message to be conveyed, give it 5 minutes of your time to edit so we dont have to play snakes and ladders trying to figure out what going on.

Make no bones about it - I think I can speak for most all of us that we're sorry you got fucked on this. Clearly it was a raw deal.

Aside from busting your balls on grammar - it's also so well known about people having issues with RPM's transmission tuning (ie Evil_Vs prolific ranting over the past several years), that this almost borders on laughable that a forum member like yourself allowed himself to be put in this position.

I'm not sticking up for Fran in any way - just that the information is out there and you could have done your due diligence by either asking about the shop or researching further before going to such expense - and avoided this altogether.

Again I really do feel bad for you and I'm sorry that you are now another example of "buyer beware" when it comes to this kind of shit. All you can do is take your licks, and hopefully save other guys from the same mistake by sharing your experience anywhere else you can, such as Facebook and local forums.

But Evil_V appears to be vindicated again on this particular issue. Hes wrong on headers versus manifolds though! [emoji23]

I sincerely wish you the best on getting past this fiasco with the transmission and getting your car right.

Sucks, and I'm kinda sorry, but you did it to yourself knowing full well the d bag work these guys do! I would definitely try to save your buddy some issues, tell him to get a second opinion and have someone check out his tune, Justin white will look at tunes for free...

So are the numbers it put down posted somewhere?

Maybe it’s just me but who builds a twin turbo car and get mad when their stock transmission
goes out?
someone like myself who doesnt know better and a shady shop tells you they can do it but wont back it up after it shits the bed... (this didnt happen but sadly this is how these shops work, prey on the less informed)

Kinda like people that mod there car and get mad when the dealership won’t warranry it. If I blamed a shop every time my car broke I’d have a long list.

Except this isn't a case of him beating on it for a while and then it just breaks from too much power. Pretty clearly something was wrong from the get go.

The stock trans has been known to hold up to worse than he threw at it for a lot longer before breaking as long as the tune is solid so thats not really an excuse.
