I am surprised there are only 10,xxx sedans out there. I think there are about 20% of that number in my area, I see 4-5 almost every day.

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what production number my ctsv is? It shows 6/2008 on the door and I remember the car fax saying something like production show car or something like that. I believe it was one of the cars they took around to all the auto shows and let everyone sit in and look at. Any info would be a help. Just wondering if I have one of the first ones.
thanks

6/2008 is June 2008. So yes, you have a very, very early build. Unfortunately, production numbers are a deep secret with the Vs. GM has not yet released that information publicly yet. To me, it's bizarre when they release every detail known to man about production of Corvettes.

That's the generic answer I got out of some Cadillac "higher-ups" when I asked, but that was for the entire V lineup, not just wagons.
Pretty much the same as what I was told by the Caddy folks at the Detroit Gran Prix.

Cool stuff. The vagons are seriously a rare breed!

What is your actual production run vin number? IE the last 6 numbers? Is it something like 1000xx. Now grated that probably wouldn't give you the exact answer you seek because there could have been some 2009 non V cts produced before it but it could give you a better Idea of how early the car was produced. If it's less that a couple hundred you would have to think it was made the first few days of production. Just my .02

Glad I bought the Wagon. They seem to be holding value better than the other variants which is to be expected due to the rarity.

any ideas for 2014 production #'s since it's the last year?
I'm guessing a few hundred at most. Outside of the Forum's enthusiasm, the Vagons just aren't big sellers and that's a lot of coin to put towards a new, newly-outdated model.

I'd guess it's going to be slightly down from the 2013 MY as far as volume; or around ~1600 total.

Not big sellers mainly due to price point, remember you're talking bout a $70-75k car regardless it being wagon or not. In my daily interactions with the public (in my wagon) I come across plenty of guys mostly who'd love to own one; but for more or less Mustang GT price point. Not gonna happen with any of the V's unless greater than 5 years old and out of warranty.

I hope GM eventually creates a breakdown by color and transmission. By option may be too much to hope for, but I can dream!

I just want to know the real transmission breakdown numbers. 10% is floated around a lot and it makes sense, tons of A6's for sale all over.

I'm lucky enough to have a black diamond M6 Sedan. I have only seen one other black diamond in persona and that was a coupe. I feel like the Vs are a rare breed up here in New England anyway, but I would love to know how many BD M6 Sedans were made overall.

This is a link to a google spreadsheet with what are the most accurate production numbers I feel are out there. I'm going to go through and clean up some of my old posts that had different numbers that I posted before my methods evolved to a point I felt I was getting good numbers.

As a manual wagon owner, I was as disappointed as I'm sure you are reading this that like 30% of the damn things are manuals.
Great info again!

The percentage of M6 wagons is higher than we all thought, but, the extremely low numbers of M6 wagons is impressive. It's still a very rare bird.

Source for data? Happy to see 6MT/6AT breakdown but would love to know where it came from.

PS as a manual wagon owner, I'm glad there are so few in total. 371 6MT wagons is a fraction of a percent of overall 2G CTS (V and non-V) output, and just a touch more than 2% of all CTS-Vs. That makes them very unique.
