Already had one on the car, just didn't mention it. Cam was in early, trunion upgrade done, springs swapped. Should be going back together in time for tune and dyno on Friday!
I don't think it was working by the amount of oil in the sc.

I put it on around 10k miles when I could see oil in the throttle body; and no catch can is 100%. It was relatively clean in person. My car seemed to be one of the more blatant oil consumers prior to the can.

Looking good!!!! Hey is ben's car still on the hoist there?!?

Which can are you using? I put a Moroso on last week after the new supercharger. I was surprised the amount (tablespoon) after only 100 miles.

I bet that's not all you blew.... LOL oooooooooooo burn!

Yea, it took me a month and 3 days to come up with that.

Supposed to be done today after they were delayed by another build, but the installer called me personally to explain that the coolant system is not holding vacuum, so he must have damaged it somehow during removal or re-installation. So they're trying to find something locally, but it's doubtful this will get done any sooner than early next week.

Your cooling system? What did they do?

At least they're taking care of you and not trying to brush it under the rug. Sub'd for updates.

Radiator - thankfully someone (ETA: GM or DIE!) was selling a D3 unit online for a great price, so I got the upgrade at less cost than a factory radiator.

Pretty easy to fuck up the rad if it's not out of the way and the harmonic dampner puller slips off as you are pulling it off the crank.

The stock rads are fn expensive!!! The D3 will be a nice upgrade.

See post #41. Some people are careful and some aren't. Good to hear they are taking car of it. Will they take car of the paint correction on the fenders too?

You know, I completely get where you're coming from, but it's the kind of thing where it's hard to know exactly how a shop and a mechanic will operate before you give them your keys. I asked "what should I ask my tuner" prior to this in the Tuning subsection, and everyone basically told me to choke on a bag of dicks before I dare - dare - risk looking stupid by annoying the Calibrator. I'm supposed to trust everyone and anticipate everything in advance by completely trusting the "experts" and not asking questions - yet here we are Monday-morning Quarter-backing the fender covers, etc. FWIW this shop is highly recommended by 3-4 guys off this site alone and has hundreds of happy customers on Facebook. I scouted them out twice in person before scheduling the build, and when I did schedule, I did so 6 weeks in advance by supplying a parts-list and going over what I needed, and why the time-frame was important for my DD.

So yeah, fire away. Simply put, it is what it is and I'm sitting here with my thumbs up my ass hoping that nothing else more serious goes wrong - because if it does, I guess I'm SOL.

But, to be clear: I have immense respect for the Mechanic, as he came straight out with it and basically said the radiator was going to come out of his own pocket. He could have handled it differently or tried to pass the buck, so I appreciate the no-BS approach.

Here's a blast from... six months ago! A little review of my modding luck:

Radiator should be delivered this AM. But we're supposed to get 6" of snow in subzero Temps over the course of the day and many businesses and schools are closed in advance.

I suspect "tonight" will not happen between the remaining work and the need for a tune.

Much less driving it home... lol.

ETA 2/14: Now day 9 of my 3 day build and no radiator. Seller dropped it off on Friday (5 days ago), even though he paid for 2 day shipping and it should have been here today (Tuesday) at the latest, accounting for the weekend. Perhaps the weather is screwing things up, but the tracking number has not been updated yet and still lists "waiting for package drop off."

The plot thickens...

Day 10: Got off the phone with the Seller (on this forum, actually - great guy to talk to!): the UPS hub he tried to mail the package through was a rural location and sat on it for several days until the Seller was able to follow up and hand-deliver it to a traditional UPS hub yesterday, so UPS said they would overnight it as a courtesy upgrade and it *should* be here today (2/18).

Probably a good thing the car is MIA with all the snow we've gotten this week.

Amazing how many things come up on what's supposed to be a get in get out type of build.

Will all be worth it once you finally get the car back.

Radiator finally came in today (UPS did the overnight courtesy upgrade, but then the package was delayed a day once in Cincinnati... lol). Will probably get the car back tomorrow - which is fine since I have the day off and can go loiter during the dyno tuning.

<fingers crossed>
