A couple weeks ago I was cruising the CTS-V VS the world group on FB and a thread came up where a guy had bought an ebay "boost" ready 102mm TB so I read through it and to my surprise despite a few hiccups, he had it on his car for over a month, and 4-5k miles of driving at the time(this was a few weeks ago) and was very happy with it. He updated it regularly throughout the whole period of time so I think if he has any big issues we would know. I went ahead and bought one for my build, $198 to my door, which is a machined billet unit. Apparently they have a cast unit more like factory for even cheaper. Just curious if anyone else has a success story with them, mine came in the mail today along with my 10%OD powerbond balancer. I don't usually buy the knockoff stuff but at these price points I wanted to give them a shot.
Anyone here tried one of the ebay 102mm TB's?

My thought is, you still have a good bit of grinding to do to get rid of that lip. IMO, I don't see a reason to port the whole snout if you are bolting up to an unported SC. Just going in a couple inches with a rotary file to feather in the bump should give you the gains with the 102. At least thats my plan..Received my Tb today. The finish isn’t fantastic. But for $120 I won’t complain.
It doesn’t clash with the stock blower snout at all???
Opens and closes freely.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on that?

That's my Dilemma, I already supposedly have a 90mm TB & a Stage 2 Blower Ported by Jokerz Performance along with Ported Snout, so I really don't want to mess that up putting a bigger Throttle Body on ...

Anything to worry about by raising the limits? I think this might fix my problem.

Well it doesn't fix a weak motor letting the blade fluctuate but it does raise the limits that tell the car to enter limp mode based on it.

Have had mine on for a month now and no problems other than making sure its not lean up top. I had my blower ported and 102 snout so this made quite a difference over the ported stock on the new blower. And I couldn't resist the overkill clamps. [emoji16]

Glad there is still some good stuff being said about these. I noticed while cruising around today that not only is there a cheaper version of this one again, but there is now one that will use the GM motor/cap. It references an LS3 unit, but basically you unbolt the motor and cap from your OEM throttle body, and install on this 102, that looks pretty good to me!

Currently running a Mamo-ported LSA right now, and have very low mile LS7 I've contemplated sending to him.
Just weighing my options... Once the heads get here I know the LSA TB will be a choke point. I plan to go with a 4.5" intake at the same time as well. (Torn between a New Era or Dynospeed.)
