I am currently talking to cj-motorsports. They sell all the components that we need and I will post their part numbers once I know pump outlet size on the stock pump (8mm vs 10mm) what length I need on the flex hose, and whether the fuel line quick connect is 3/8 or 5/16. Total parts cost for me is right at 53 dollars. Just a note that they currently do not have their bulkhead 90degree elbow listed as a single purchase. I saw it in their fuel return line systems set up for other cars and just sent them an email to ask if they would sell piece parts and they are onboard with that. Haven't gotten to shipping costs yet.

I’m currently at a spot where I must do this solution. I have a place near me called Parker Hose, that’s a complete hydraulic and fuel place.

BUT maybe I can just order these parts online.
Second on the part numbers and source. What did you use to seal around the fitting where it passed through the housing?
X2 ... Did you use any fuel safe gasket maker between the flanges of the fitting? Or was the hole you made tight enough plus the flanges wide enough to seal?

I suppose there’s fuel safe bushing/nylon washers

I am actually in the process of shipping my pump to Charles at CJ Motorsports. He is going to evaluate and hopefully do the machining required to remove the existing elbow and fit the new 90 degree bulkhead elbow. He seems to be a one man shop. Super helpful and quick to respond. He will kit and sell you what you need and I am mailing my pump out in the morning so Charles will know exactly what we have on the CTS-Vs.

How is this setup holding up?

Attempting the same thing myself since 400 bucks for a new fuel bucket is a hard pill to swallow. The stock elbow looks like a hard sneeze would crack it. Hard to believe they shipped out these cars with something so flimsy.

Hey guys,

For anyone looking to do this, the parts list is below. I initially ordered the wrong parts because I eyeballed it from the pictures on the page before this. Hopefully this will save someone time and money if they go this route..

The 90 degree elbow is available from a seller on Ebay if you search for "FULL FLOW 6AN 90 DEGREE BLACK SWEPT FLARE BULKHEAD FITTING ADAPTER W/ 2 NUTS" its 17 bucks.

2 6an nylon washers from Summit...

Corrugated 10mm fuel line 180 mm[7.09 in] (google it, it cost me about 5 bucks and 5 for shipping)

Amazon for the rest of the fittings.
Russell 624010 Twist-Lok Red/Blue Anodized Aluminum -6AN Straight Hose End
Edelbrock/Russell 640000 -6AN Female Swivel Coupler
Quick Connect Male 3/8 Fuel Rail Hose to -6AN Adapter Fitting LS LS1 LS3 GM AN817-02B

thanks for posting this info, got a couple questions do you have to modify the fuel line going to the module for the extra length in 90*and quick disconnect and can i use regular band clamps instead of those fancy ones?
You can pick up Oetiker clamps cheap at your local hydraulic supply, and they can be installed without the special tool. I use my wire cutters and stop short of damaging the clamp. They are hardened steel and pretty strong, the clamps that is. They are superior in their clamping IMO.

had to use worm style clamps will have to pull again and redo as my 10mm corrugated tubing was 10" and i tried cutting down but it didnt work.probably replace with oetiker then.thanks.

how do you shorten the fuel line? can you just cut the section out and slide the factory line back over the quick disconnect side an oetiker clamp it?i thought it had to be heated and im iffy about using a heat gun around an open fuel tank.

Almost complete with the AN fitting repair job and accidentally snapped the fitting at the base of the pumps(next to the regulator) for the small tube. Is this needed and if so any ideas on repairing it? It can't be under much pressure so I was thinking about fuel safe epoxy to seal it back to the housing.

You talking about the little quick connect at the bottom of the basket? Yes that is absolutely needed. That is the jet pump attachment to pull fuel from the driver side of the tank.

No, this is a much smaller fitting on the pump assembly itself inside the basket. I was scrolling though the fueling section and found another post about it but they didnt seem to find an answer. I cannot post links but on page 5 of the Fueling section there is a post titled "So I broke this how important is it???" describing the exact same issue with pics.

Was Charles at CJ able to find a good solution for you??

Any updates on the pump repair from CJ Motorsports?

Wanted to post up on this. Decided I was going to take the plunge and upgrade the shitty elbow with also the option to run a third intake pump. I can confirm I am getting 4-5 psi more just by upgrading the elbow. I was running 61-62 at 6300 on E75 now with nothing else changed I'm at 65-66 at 6300 with E78.

One thing I did different was my quick connect adapter was to long and I couldn't fit it in there and get it hooked up to the hose. So I just cut the stock quick connect off and added a 3/8 to female hose barb. I think this is cleaner looking anyway and less points of failure. All in all of for the cost it's worth it for a bump in psi and knowing the shitty plastic one won't fail.

Edit. Just don't forget to put thread sealer on the bulk head nuts. It can be a leak path. The teflon washer will seal to the hat.

Adding a photo of how I connected the fuel line.

who wants to let me ship them mine for elbow replacement? leak seems small now but will probably get larger

is this final parts list? no hoses or anything else suggested as replacement to below?
