Where can I find the official GM TSB # 18-NA-355. I would like to print it out and take it in to my dealer. No luck on google. I am on my 3rd tranny flush and my dealer is pretty much saying they have done all they could do until gm comes out with a permanent fix.

Just give your dealer the new TSB number and they can easily pull it up. They should also have the new Mobil 1 by now as well.

Maybe call the service manager and give him the new TSB number and see if he will pull it up and schedule you in. Make sure he has the new fluid before you take the car in.

I haven't seen the official TSB print out yet, however I know for sure that is the new TSB for the shuddering issue.

Mine goes on Thursday. My dealer has had the fluid for a couple of weeks but claims they were waiting on an adjustment tool of some kind that just arrived. Not sure what that tool is but I hang out with my tech when he's working on my car so I'll find out (if there really is a tool LOL).

I just heard that same thing. Dealer is waiting on new equipment which will arrive in January. apparently there is a new method to the fix.

My 2017 was fixed last month by Sewell in Houston. Straight off the bat on the phone, they knew about the shudder, and scheduled a transmission flush (3x), before even getting the car there. They performed the work, along with other stuff, handled under warrantee, and had the car back to me 2 days later. Triple flush fixed most of the shudder, and only now occasionally feel it, but am so used to either accelerating through it or letting off, it's a bandwidth of .1 mph rather than 2mph. This improvement was from the flushes, between drop off and pick-up, Sewell did well...

Also gotta love having a nice vehicle while yours is in the shop, definitely beats buying a beater while your car is in!

That's the old TSB, it will be back with a vengeance. Every dealer knows about it as it's on every A8 model. Give it a month or so and go back to get newest TSB.

Just got a call from my dealer. Took the V in again for the tranny shutter and a service rear-end code. I guess they finally realized I had a aftermarket air intake and a pulley installed, so now they are blaming the "hesitation" on a fuel injector. Since I have mods the $2500 repair is not covered. I guess I got a solid excuse for the wife to get $2500 worth of fuel upgrades[emoji1744]*[emoji3603]They are also blaming my catback exhaust for the service rearend code[emoji1750]*[emoji3603] I asked him if it was because the actuators for the exhaust were disconnected? He stated that the aftermarket exhaust was too loud and caused the rearaxle to pop the code[emoji23] I should've plugged in my code reader before dropping it off smh. These guys are just looking for any excuse to not warranty work, but I figured with mods I was going to eventually recieve some push back. Does anybody know if disabiling the V4 mode eliminates the tranny shutter?

Both their excuses are bullshit. An air intake isn’t going to eff up an injector. Only thing it may do is throw a MAF code if there’s an air leak. And no way an aftermarket exhaust is going to throw a rear end code. Like, how the hell is that even possible?

The lower pulley, however, that’d be an issue. I assume you tuned it as well for the added boost? Bigger reason not to warranty.

I wish there were less tools at my dealership.

UPDATE: I had the new TSB performed along with the heated seat TSB and steering bolt TSB. Footnote on the heated seat TSB, it's a reprogram in the ECM, it did not retain all the memory of previous selections. IE; I keep my passive lock "on" it was now "off" and didn't realize until after a trip to the grocery store.

Also, for those that had the dream of the new A-10 as the warranty repair (lol) the A-10 is doing the exact same thing....

Back to TSB, I'm good buddies with my tech and hang out with him. They add 20+ qts of new lower viscosity fluid. Hose tool is graduated and they siphon out finite amounts from the tranny cooler until the correct level is reached. Reset the module and done. They made it clear to give it 400 miles for final impressions.

Backspace, for the guys that comment it shifts "rough" or "hard", that's just what it is. Soft shifts are created by slip, slip is not good. Equally if you are in sport/race mode OR if you goose the shit out of it then want to drive normally that affects the shift feel until it can relearn your driving habits. If you want it rough, pound on it. If you want a daddy caddy put it in tour and put around for 50 miles, you'll notice a difference.

Shift feel is similar, I drive hard, 1/2 change is a good yank. Shift flash is finite, maybe quicker then before but marginal. I've put 100 miles on it so far, had two notable shutters but that is a 90% improvement. In short, jury is out BUT I really don't care. If I wanted amazing quality and craftsmanship I wouldn't have bought a GM. I wanted it raw power, something different and cheaper insurance then a vette. While not problem free, it keeps a smile on my face and life is way too short to worry about the small shit.....

What are these 2 TSB's? Would you please post?

Great info and I agree with you 100%!! If I wanted a problem free car, I would have gotten a Lexus, but they build boring cars! Life is too short to drive a boring car. Let's hope the new TSB works! Only time will tell.

Yeah I feel like this shudder is similar to the rear diff whine in the V2. Its not really a problem unless you just like to complain or are too anal. The majority of the time it doesn't seem like it is hurting anything and it seems like there are maybe several different "Causes" and maybe what everyone calls "trans shudder" isn't the same thing, sometimes its just hard crisp shifting? sometimes its a weird jerk in a narrow rpm range?

Either way if it doesn't actually cause premature wear in the transmission and cause it to fail (like the rear diff whine) I would just probably live with it until there is final word on the fix/cause.

Can you post a pic of the repair order details? I'd like to see how it was "storied out"

Thanks in advance!

Key statement "If I wanted amazing quality and craftsmanship I wouldn't have bought a GM. I wanted it raw power, something different and cheaper insurance then a vette."

I do think that if there is anything at all you can say good about a vehicle like Tesla, is that it has so few moving parts, it eliminates all typical internal combustion complaints like diff whine, hard or soft shifting, shudders, vibrations, etc. Granted, they sound like a VCR on fast forward but other than that I don't see the GM internal combustion vehicles smoothing out these types of issues anytime soon. I'm very curious indeed to hear about the issues on the CT6-V.
