Took my 16 in because of shudder, same procedure drain and fill and reflash ECM/TCM with updated software per service bulletin. I must say the car shifts better than when new at this point, fingers crossed it stays this way..

mines has had the TC replaced twice and flushed twice and the range technology V4 eliminator. But the shudder still returns after about 5k miles. waiting for the "final" fix in 2019.

Update on my 18. Dealer replaced TC and stated problem was not fixed. They then called Cadillac Engineering for next step. Cadillac Engineering said replacement TC must be bad and sent out another one. Second TC was installed and car is driving perfectly for the last 1500 miles. On a side note car ran 11.84@ 120 on the stock Michelins. Without that irritating shudder this car is totally awesome. Crossing fingers that this fix holds.

New ATF formula is being made now and will be available sometime in January 2019. This is supposed to be the new permanent fix according to an internal GM source that I spoke with a few days ago. No other core changes like TC replacement or trans filter replacement for the newest bulletin, but that may change if the new ATF formula doesn't work.

I thought GM was no longer willing to replace a TC?

Mine did too. Now with about 4000 miles after flush and reflash my data logs showing shutter is coming back. It’s subtle for now, and shifts are still pretty good (I think the reflash corrected some bad learning the TCM had done regarding shift quality and timing), but it’s clear this is a never-ending recurring problem. Not sure how yet another formulation will fix the issue, but we will see.

A few slipped thru the cracks recently but doesn't fix the issue, mine came back and is worse than it was before... the GM memo was that the dealers wouldn't be getting paid for the TC and other repairs due to shutter swap, I imagine they may have some creative billing to work around...

so they just gonna keep doing the fluid flush till warranty is over?

New bulletin was JUST released by GM. It should make it to the dealers soon, if it hasn't already, in addition to the new Mobil 1 ATF formula. I heard some dealers are already getting the new Mobil 1 ATF formula as we speak.

The New GM TSB number is: 18-NA-355.

ive been looking at a couple V3s at my local Cadillac dealer.
my salesman told me that GM is apparently coming out with a permanent fix at the beginning of the year that will be for the V and the escalade and other GM vehicles affected by the shudder.

The new TSB is already out. GM TSB # 18-NA-355. A lot of dealers have already received the new Mobil 1 ATF.
