19.99 vs 8.95 at Walmart. I'd have to be given a can to see if it is "worth" it.
What I want to find is a really good way to the grime that is deep on the wheel without having to roll the car backwards, put up on a lift to rotate the tires.
your best bet would be to have the wheels ceramic coated by a professional. I remove then, deep clean them, the apply 2-3 layers of coating via a paint spray gun, then bake with IR Lamps.
I read about the armor all wheel protectant, a few years ago, and that they were going to discontinue it. Didn't know they were just changing the name. I bought 8 cans of it at that time. It works well, but I also have a manual trans. so the brakes are not used as much as a auto trans, which probably helps some.
Chemical guys H7 hybrid detail spray seems to work pretty well and make the dust wipe off easily. Just don't get it on the rotor, it spots them up pretty bad and seems to react with the dust compound (not hard to remove just very apparent).
The AA does help protect so dust builds up less and dust blows off easily with compressed air BUT when I put it on a freshly washed polished wheel it makes it a little less shiny.
I don’t think there is a perfect solution. It’s bad when you can’t drive your freshly washed car 1 day and still have the wheels look good.
I tried the AA stuff and it left a haze on the chrome portion of my wheels and I couldn’t get it to go away. Ended up wiping it all off and going about my business. On painted wheels I’m sure it works fine
Guess I'm not all that Anal about Brake Dust, a run thru the spray car wash now & then seems to get most of the dust off or at least enough that it's not really noticeable to me & that's good enough for me ...
