The longer it takes me to pick out my V3, the more I wonder if i should just wait for the CT6-V instead. But... it' starting to look less like an AWD monster and more like a land pig :(
Wait for the CT5V

The CT6V is more like a v sport

If the comments are to be believed, it sounds like they only are making 275 total and they're all spoken for. A guy I know locally posted that he's got one of the 275, I'll have to find an excuse to go drive it once he has it.

Given Cadillac's direction I'll probably end up in an E63s wagon at this point, which is a bummer.

Only a Glennster would get a CT6V

Well that makes my decision a little easier :) I'm back on the V3 boat.

Only 16s that cheap are buyback or program cars and I literally have only seen one for $49k
Sure, many of them are program cars or lemons or salvage title, but not all of them. I have been keeping an eye on this since last summer, and fairly consistently there are cars listed in the low $50s that pop up with clean Carfax/Autocheck records, like this one:

2016, $53,396, 62k miles - Carfax

According to CarGurus that car's been listed for 6 months and started at $60k. Pretty sure a dealer with a car languishing on their lot would take $50k before sending it to auction.

Speaking of auction, anyone happen to have a screenshot of recent V3 auction values?

Have you tuned it yet? Any mods?

Yes and no. The truck has a GM CAI and GM/Borla Catback. I flashed it with my MDI with the GM updated programming for those mods. The ECM has not been cracked yet on them and I expect it will be a wait of at least 6 months on that. The TCM is still a T87A though so I plan on doing some trans tuning only once I figure out some service number differences vs 2018 T87A 10L80 applications. I will say the stock trans calibration is better then any other GM vehicle I have driven besides the 17+ ZL1 which also runs a 10 speed.

I don't think you're going to like a 10 speed tranny, friend at GM said it has it's problems.
The 10speed tranny has problems? I have never read about anyone having issues with it. However, I have read that a lot of people have had issues with the 8speed tranny. Are you sure your friend didn't misspeak? I don't have one, so just curious. Thanks!

Safety and wiring, probably.

Every time you don’t get 5 stars in a crash test, you add reinforcements.

The rollover test—-that’s why the damn A pillars have gotten so big, such that it obstructs your sight.

I have a much harder time seeing peds at a curb because of the wide A pillars.

Can anyone explain why these cars keep getting heavier. Being bloated sucks ass all around and Caddy is not the only one doing it they all do.
I have seen cars gain 100 lbs in wiring from one generation to the next.

A friend has a 72 Carrera RS that isn’t burdened with those issues but it also only has a few features like 3 pedals and a shifter.

You can thank FMVSS (government) for adding weight, crash standards get more strict over the years.

i have seen stubborn dealers sit on inventory before selling cheap, always someone who walks off the street and pays close to ask some dealers dont seem to mind waiting especially if they are writing the loan. Saying "ill come with $49k check" they rather you take the financing
