Hello everyone, I'm a newb to this forum but have been on the other one since 2005. I'm in the process of picking up a 2011 Vagon and I'm looking into the available supercharger options. I think whats out there is listed below but would appreciate any corrections or pertinent info from those that have gone through the same process as well. Essentially I am weighing the trade-offs now. Primarily I am interested in bang for the buck and keeping the car a sleeper since it is a wagon afterall. I know I won't go for a complete engine rebuild or stroker so I need a blower that will maximize what the stock engine with heads and cam can put down. So here is what I think is out there:
KDI - Whipple 2.9. Makes the best proven power from what I can tell, only downside is that you need a new hood which doesn't fit into my sleeper definition but doesn't disqualify it yet either. Its essentially a blower only kit meaning no injectors or TB included. Pricing isn't bad for the blower but have to consider the ~$1300 plus paint for the hood.
D3 Performance - Local to me and seem to carry all of the Kenne Bell line as well as a what I think is a Magnusson 2300 upgrade. Their 2300 comes with injectors from what I can tell and their 2.8L comes with injectors and a 102mm TB. Seems like the bigger blower fits under the hood too. They seem to have all kind of options but no one is talking much about them which is causing me to question why not.
G-force -TVS 2300 - Seems like a good option. Maintains factory IC brick. I haven't seen a pump gas dyno of it but definitely a good option given the pricing. Not sure what comes with the kit except the blower itself.
Wait for me - Magnusson TVS 2300 - Unclear what is truly available from them. Are these even still available through them?
Fastlane - 2300 blower - seems like they buy from GM and maybe modify it to fit but not exactly sure. Looks sketchy to me but least expensive.
Thanks in advance for helping me get informed and ultimately decide...
