What do i do about tpms sensors with my drag wheels? Do i have to run them? If so does anyone know the best place to buy them. Will my car run rite without them? Or will it just throw a code? Also does anyone have a hookup on some 305-35-18 drag radials? M/T et streets

I don't run TPMS sensors on my drag radial setup. You will just get the warning light on your dash like stated above. When you swap the wheels back the warning goes away after driving for awhile.

I have my DRs with TPMS. In retrospect, they are not needed and it was a waste of money.

Consider that at the drag strip you reduce the tire pressure. The pressure is reduced to where a mil will trigger. So why have them?

Now if you drive the DRs on the street, I can see where it would make sense.

Regarding if the car will run right: The car will run fine without them but you will get a notofcation in the DIC (driver instrument cluster) that you have an issue with the tire pressure monipr system. If memory serves me it states that it needs servicing.

Regarding best place to buy them: you can google them on ebay or buy them from dealer. I bought mine from dealer and had them installed.

Note: In order to synch them to your car, you will need to refer to your vehicle operators manual. The process is outlined there.

sorry for bumping an old thread but does anyone know how long it takes for the low tire pressure notification light to go out? It told me I was down to 24psi so I filled it up a couple days ago and the sensor is still saying ive only got 24psi. Ive even tried over inflating it to 45psi to see what it did and it still said it was at 24psi. Should I just give It a couple days or do you guys think I have a bad sensor?

Bad sensor or I think you can try the relearn process, check your owners manual
