Strong smell of antifreeze inside the cabin upon start up

When my car sits for days or a week it smell like antifreeze inside the cabin. I am familiar with heater cores going out. I checked around a little but there's a ton of sound deadener before I reach metal up under the dash. I have found nothing. No mist from the vents either and it goes away in a minute or two. There are no drips under the car. I removed the expansion tank cap and cannot reach the coolant with my finger. I suppose I'll fill it to the top and see if I'm burning it or if it's a heater core issue.

Anyone else experience this or that can shed some light on this? 2011 Coupe with 15,000 on the clock.
