I considered the 2019 redeye before picking up the V3 but like everyone else, there are so many different variations of that vehicle unlike the V3. I have the only in my area that ive seen. I like that! The V3 is classy and unique.

Yes, as well as Tesla's which has become one of the largest threads on this
forum, as well as various other automotive manufacturers threads popping
up most every month.

So let's not fight them Steve, let's join them. . .
Just change the name of the forum to 'CarOwners.com"..:D

When you do that, please don't allow any of the really
nice advertisements to disappear, as they are so entertaining..

Oh, and a 'Junk For Sale' section would be good also.

Please raise the post count to 500 in order to access that
section, so that I can laugh my ass off, when you and
Kent yank their balls through the keyholes when they
question Why?

Cheers
Legit comment. As the Tesla instigator I would gladly dial it back. This is after all a V forum and should be for V owners/drivers/modders.

Flip side is that we all love cars. All types, shapes, sizes, makes, and models.

100% honest when I say I'd rather talk about Tesla with you guys and take whatever shit and abuse you want to dish out at me before I'd spend a ton of time on a Tesla forum. Too much "noise", too much uneducated drivel, and too much controversy.

But most of all, too much lack of basic, sound knowledge of engineering 101.

Rules and respect are key. If me (or anyone else) has the "other cars" knob turned up too high, let's change that to where people are happy.

I enjoy sharing new info and experiences, but I do concur that this is a V forum, not an EV forum.

I would choose the V3 out of the 2. Hellcat might be faster but I like how the V3 looks better and you don't see them as much.

i agree the v3 has its own unique styling the regular cts doesent.

imo the charger srt and hellcat are near impossible for even car enthusiasts to differentiate.

the V3 also gets you more luxury imo.

i would say the hellcat is cheaper to mod since its FI . the DI gm cars are great but a bit more work and money to mod.

For many of us , this can sway us in one direction due to afforadability.

sadly when any car gets cheaper and is abunduntly produced is when the niche identity the car had changes and many like myself lose interest .

this is just IMO .

The 3rd gen CTSV is definitely a better car , being that I owned both don’t really miss my hellcat with 800 to the wheel, except that my CTS V going to be expensive to get 100 rwhp close to the HC, I sold my HC cause I didn’t expect that there would be so many, I’m between Florida and Connecticut over dozen times a year and hardly ever see any of the CTSV’s [emoji1688] almost rare.

No doubt 3rd gen V is a masterpiece with an monster of an engine and incredible chassis that we may never see again.
I just don’t think I can’t give up the manual. The challenger is really the only option for big hp car with 3 pedals.
Though after recently spending some extended time in one I don’t think I could daily due to poor ride quality. Car gets easily upset with a modest mid corner bump. Supposedly the wide body is better but unlikely I’ll get a chance to drive one with a manual.

I've only seen ONE 3rd gen in the Houston area...

The hellcat is cool and it can certainly make lots of power cheap but thats about where the pros end for me....these cars are some of the most common cars on the road next to mustangs and camaro, cant drive 1/2 mile without seeing a charger or challenger. Then beyond the power it just seems like a very bloated heavy package that just doesnt handle, brake, or drive like a sports car like the V does. The balance isnt great and the car cant put any of its power down on normal street tires. Its about what you get when you throw 600hp in a shitbox from the 90s lol, i goes straight fast on slicks at the drag strip, about it. lol

At the end of the day, ill gladly pay more for the V3 100/100 times for the better driving experience, looks, handling, braking, balance, luxury, and of course, the rarity factor is important to me, I dont like cars that you roll up to a car show and theres a dozen of the same one there and I think thats a huge reason why the V2 Wagons are so damn valuable still, with a production vale in the 17xx range people rarely see them and people enjoy having something different than the norm, the V3 platform is not as rare, but still pretty rare with a total of 4,700 cars made, in comparison thats about the same number of 04/05 Ford GTs that were produced

but to each their own, everyones entitled to their opinion, if you want something modern that makes a ton of power relatively easy the hellcat aint bad

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG ---

the hell kittens make great power for cheap but thats where it ends for me. Dodge refused to run the car at the ring...big tell tale signs for me that the quality is not there. Driven both and attended the Bondurant School as my father teaches there time to time. The only dodge product I would love to own they do not make any longer :( that 2017 ACR is sex on wheels to me.

Price and size is the reason I purchased my hellcat over a V2 but the v3 really has me tempted to trade. Is the v3 bigger than the V2?
Comparison of V3 to V2:

6 inches longer in overall length. 3 more inches of legroom up front. Same legroom in the back.

I would love to find a local V3 owner that would be willing to swap with a lightly modded V2 for a weekend. The two cars seem a world apart. Muscle car, super car. Kick you in the ass, refined.

I really respect the V3, but if I were looking for a newer car, the CT6-V, Trackhawk, Durango SRT, Stelvio Quadrifoglio, and a Tesla Model S/X would be on my must drive list. The V3 would not, for many reasons. Before I got my V2, I did look seriously at a Chrysler 300 SRT8, but the V2 was too good/unique to pass up.

I have a client who can afford to buy a fleet of Rolls and he loves his 300.

That SRT 300 is a bit of a rarity.

V3 chassis is work of art. If it only had a manual...

I've heard the Blackwing was/is a mindblowingly good chassis too.

It's amazing how fast car chassis and suspension design has advanced. One or two iterations and cars went from pretty good to "every car can be world class". Even lower end cars cars.

I was under the impression the ct4/ct5 cars were still on the alpha chassis

The Hellcat is a great car for the money and now you can get it with the widebody package running 305 rubber which can put power on the ground even better than the V3.
Even for the interiors now you can get a leather wrapped dash and upper door panels with contrast stitching but still the V3 cabin is definitely way more upscale obviously.
In the end, you pay more for a significantly more sophisticated chassis, magic steering feel, way better interior, and the Caddy badge, not to mention the fact that the V3 is way more unique....is well worth it IMHO but still the Hellcat is not a bad car ad all.
Even on the engine side, I find the Hemi Hellcat more "vulgar" compared to the more refined LT4. The transmission of the Dodge is significantly better though...I really wish we had the new 10 speed on our V3s.....
That said, we are in the process of probably buying a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk for my wife, she currently drives a Grand Cherokee SRT and we been extremely pleased with it.
