Do you daily drive this car? Is it auto or manual?

 

Nice, I had this cam in my manual but ended up dropping down to a stg 2 for the new auto car.

I have it in my M6 car... I do not daily drive it, but it is pretty well mannered ever with a 102mm TB. I think if you were really trying to save drivability, a LS7 Tb would help...

 

My car is my daily auto stock tb drives just fine.

 

What was the exhaust setup on the car? I saw it has ARH headers but what else?

 

My car is an auto. ARH to stock mufflers @ vvvroomtx

 

Same cam in mine with Corsa catback, longtubes and X-pipe. Very driveable, except at speeds under 30.

 

Mine drives well even cruising at parking lot speeds

 

Interesting. Always thought the btr stage 3 was too aggressive for the stock converter

I run a btr stg 3 with a stock converter no issues or push at idle.

 

I've always been told a big cam can have very good manners at low rpm / speeds as long as you have a really good tuner. However I know most large cams like a higher stall converter

BTW it sounds great, I like the LT / stock catback setup

 

Thanks. Yes i have a good tuner so my car drives really well. Much better then i expected. Esp when i heard it running for the first time. The guys at dynospeed racing got me in out and tuned pretty quick. Im happy with it.

 

What do you guys think of a bt3 in a auto? Too much?

 

Might be with a stock converter. I just bought my stage 2.

 

The stage 3 is fine for stock converter/auto; however, you will notice a little low vac at idle/low TPS which affects your braking some

 

I just finished the install on my BTR stage 3 yesterday and I drove it around the block on stock tune (obviously didn't get on it, just low speed) and it's really not even bad on stock tune haha it should be great to drive once Matt gets done with the tune.

 

I'm pretty sure you will have hot restart issues before tuning but ya a cam on a 120 LSA and no positive overlap can run on a stock tune as long as you don't change injectors.
