What dealer did you go to in order to your supercharger replaced? I've got the "marble" sound and I am contemplating getting the supercharger replaced or ordering a solid isolator. I called the dealer who sold me the car and they had never heard of the issue and were not aware of the special coverage, so needless to say, I won't be bringing the car back to them for service. It seems like Putnam in burlingame has an ok reputation (based on some threads here) but just wondering if anyone else has had good experiences with other dealers in the area.

Long story short, after getting the run around a couple times they replaced it. But this was not until I received the noticed that Cadillac was extending the super charge warranty.

Put it this way, when they finally decided there was an issue and to order a new one, the car sat there ALL day. When I called to get my car I was told that it needed to stay overnight so that they can start it the next morning when it was “cold”. My response to the SA when I finally got to pick my car up was that unless the car has been taken out and beat on, the car is “cold” enough after less than an hr to hear the marbles. As you can expect I got some bs answer. Note…..they did not beat on the car since there was no additional mileage on the car. Knock on wood the replacement went flawless and I’ve hadn’t had any issues.

I need to make another appointment in the next few weeks with Fremont for a couple issues.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

Well after hearing so many great things about Abel I decided to make the 70 mile drive to Rio Vista yesterday. I had originally talked to Rich on the phone, but when I got there, Donnell greeted me right when I pulled up. He immediately started listening to my concerns and taking down my info. Within 40 minutes they had a supercharger ordered for overnight delivery and I was in a courtesy car on my way back home.

So far I'm pretty impressed with Abel as I am coming from the chrysler world where you would be lucky to have any body even acknowledge your presence at the dealer! I'll give an update once I have the car back.

I got the car back from Abel. They did a great job, it's incredible how quiet the car is now without the rattling supercharger! They also fixed an issue I was having with my driver door as well as road force balancing my wheels. I hate going to the dealership after some horrible experiences with past cars, but I will definitely be going back to Abel whenever I need warranty work done.

Since they are a Chevy dealer, no hassles on warranty work??
The one Cadillac dealer in Reno isn't on my 'friends' list, so I may be forced to make the drive over the mountain to find a competent dealer to for SC and some alignment. Hate to drive 200 miles one-way, but will do it to feel comfortable with the kind of work that is done.
