Weird car issue

i have a 2018 ctsv 37k miles all stock except for intake. Lately I’ve started noticing that when I get to higher speeds and slow down again, the moment I start speeding up it feels as if the two back tires lock up for a moment and kind of drag instead of spin. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I’m new here and new to the V world so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Well, we know the rear wheels are in fact, not locking up....that would be very dramatic and likely easier to diagnose.
I believe that what you are trying to convey is that when you get back on the gas to resume speed or accelerate that there is an abrupt bog or hesitation maybe a jerk sensation?
That could be really broad and difficult to track down as it could be engine OR transmission performance related.
Start with reading the OBD port for stored codes as they may provide some clues or even a definitive answer.

how easy is it to replicate this "locking up"?
i would start by checking transmission fluid level. the locking up could be some bucking while the transmission shifts, locking/unlocking of the torque converter...low fluid will exacerbate any of these.

if it turns out the rear wheels are actually locking up, i would look into the brake/abs system or something for some faults

Thank you everyone for the replies. So it actually 100% feels like the back tires “drag” for a quick second. That’s the best way to describe how it feels like if the tires stopped rotating for a second and just got dragged. Apparently it feels as if it has a posi rear end. My brother In law came on a cruise with me one time and he asked me if the car had a posi rear end when it would do the dragging of the wheels. At the time I didn’t know what that meant so he explained it to me. The only times I notice it happening is after I’ve stepped on it a bit maybe do a couple pulls. Once I get back down to speed limit about a min or 2 later it’ll start that motion. Apologies I know this post is choppy and confusing it’s just hard to put into words. Any advice is appreciated.

1. The CTSV does have a 'limited slip differential' which is the same type of device as Positraction (tm) but it's actually better.

CAUTION: Changing the below settings will effect the driving behavior of the car, possibly leading to tire spin and dangerous loss of control. (enjoy)

2. find the suspension button on the dash (near the radio volume knob), push that to select "Sport or Tour mode" drive the car, report back
3. Locate the traction control button (on the steering wheel) press once to turn off Traction Control. drive the car, report back
4. Using the same button, hold it down for five seconds and the DIC will announce "Stabilitrak off" drive the car, report back
