Doesn't matter what "size" wheels, it's the design of the wheels that are needed to create clearance of the huge V rotors. Many have changed their brakes and adapted V brakes to their standard CTS. Still, suspension is totally different, too.
I was actually looking to replace my suspension and someone told me don't go with the OEM because they have a "floating effact". To instead use magnet ride suspension. But I could only find magnet ride for the rear, not the front.

I was just asking where he was getting the 16s from since he mentioned because mine are stock 19s. I was under the impression they are stock 18s or 19s, so was curious where he got 16s from.

Truly not difficult... I was GUESSING what wheel size was on the base CTS. I guessed wrong.
That fact is a distraction from the actual point; That point is that you are continuing to espouse the idea that 'because Google' claims your CTS shares an option category code, that somehow YOUR base CTS is constructed with a handy complement of CTSV parts (the ONLY CTS built this way).
You have come to this forum for the right reason (to gather info from those with the info; and this forum is full of gear heads with V-specific experience and knowledge-like stuff). You have asked your question(s) and have been confronted with the info that we have looked into this many times. We have the information that you need, however, rather than accept the facts that are given to you, you then take the ridiculous stance of denouncing the provided facts wrong, as your particular car is already constructed with V parts... so the people in the know--- are all wet.
Because Google.
Given your position that you don't need any knowledge, WHY are you here?

I dont have the base model, i have the performance. The base is 3.0l v6. Mine is a 3.6l v6 paired with a 6spd manual transmission. As far rpo codes, i didn't check Google for rpo codes. I checked my owner's manual which is titled cadillac cts performance/cts v.

I came here because clearly I don't have the full knowledge and was looking for advice. But instead, some decide to be condescending dicks with their responses. As if they slithered out the womb already knowing this shit. Forgetting that they too, at some point were just as ignorant as I am on the topic.

Oh.
My.
GAWD.

Here comes the "performance edition" silliness.
The previous guy whom you are channeling had one UP on you as HE had a "Premium Performance" V6 CTS.
So he was different from you in that one tiny aspect...but exactly like you in two important ways: He also suffered from model level denial
AND
He also didn't have a V OR any V parts. Go back to post #45, follow the link to your prior nom de plume post and either learn again from that saga or keep firing shots over the bow of the most informative CTSV forum on the net and see how much they'll tolerate.

If you really want to learn, this is the right place. if you want to upsell your base model's equipment content, pretend that it's actually a stealth V in performance sheep's clothing and pretend you that possess higher knowledge than the room, then clearly you needn't advice from us.

So I have a 2011 cadillac cts coupe performance (3.6l v6) with a manual 6spd transmission. As of right now, my engine may need to be swapped out and I was thinking about paying the extra 3k for the cts v supercharged 6.2l v8.

I noticed you said a lot would need to be changed, but I already have the 6spd transmission as well as the performance brakes as the cts v (at least to my understanding. When ordering brakes and rotors I noticed the rpo code for those parts for my car are the same rpo code for the cts v). So in your opinion, if my assumptions are correct and I have all that, would it be worth the extra 3k for the v8, or just stick with the v6.
Please note the words in red. Those are your words.
After you posted that, people who have CTSVs have indicated that your assumptions are not correct.... yet you ignore this.

Do you have a Tech II or a clone? That might be able to bypass it. Might need the GM software license to get that deep.

Not sure what you are talking about

If it was easy to disable, it wouldn't be a very effective theft deterrent. If it's keyless and you have a fob, why would you want to deactivate it? Then, anyone could start the car just by turning the switch...
I worded that wrong, my bad. I can't turn the ignition. It says start aborted because of anti theft deterrent. Been trying to fix it. But the only I've been able to find was put my key in the door. It's keyless entry, so there's no key whole. Only place for a key is on my trunk.
