Just got back from the dealer. Not my Black Wing, but they were yanking an LT4 motor with 3000 miles. Spun bearing. Shavings in oil. Motor is toast. Talked to the tech for a while. Scary !!!

Bearings taking out an LT4 with only 3,000 miles is no joke. Once they go, especially on a high-performance engine like that, it's game over fast. The fact that it already had shavings in the oil means the damage probably started a while before it was caught. Bearings are such a small part but can cause catastrophic failure when they fail — especially on engines like the LT4 that run high pressures and tight tolerances. Hope it’s warranty-covered, but still scary stuff to see firsthand.
Can you provide more details about what happened? 3K miles, damn. Was it raced? Starved for oil somehow?
