Hey all, I just purchased a 2010 CTS-V, auto, recaros, moonroof, etc. The car has 83,000 km on it. The dealer we purchased it from is a Nissan dealer so they are trying to offer us a 3rd party warranty for $3955 (tax included). The warranty is for 4 years/80,000km. Claims can be up to $5000. I texted my buddy at a very reputable LSx/LTx shop here in Toronto and he said to pass on it. This car is bone stock and WILL be modded abit (intake, pulley swap, cam, injectors, tune, exhaust, etc).
What’s all your opinions? I know they’ll prob have an issue with a modded car if a problem were to arise and sometimes these 3rd party warranties are very hard to deal with. Are our cars pretty damn reliable or what? Do electronics on these cars go out? The engine and trans are pretty reliable from what i hear.
