Recaro and Cue swap??

Morning Gentleman!

Anyone have any intel on swapping non-recaro to Recaro? I have a 16 and it is the only option missing. The physical swap is straightforward. It appears there is only one main factory harness listed for the V model so I assume it is plug and play, with addition or subtraction of non-relevant pins....

I can also get the matching Cue (that reflects the lack of cooling on seats), any idea if dealer reprogramming would be required?

TIA!!

I swore I read somewhere that the Recaros plugged right up and worked with the Cue when you adjust the seat but dont quote me on that. I would not be surprised if you need a scan tool to program out the cooled seats though. TBH tho I dont think the swap is worth it unless you get some killer deal on the seats. The Recaros look really cool and have more adjustment, but the other seats are more comfy IMO, especially if you are a bigger guy. If you're in the south cooled seats are great too. Crap I just realized this post is 5 years old lol. Oh well.

You cannot swap. There's like three threads on this.

I went down this rabbit hole.

Factory recaros are somehow VIN-Coded to the car they were installed in from the factory. Even if you can swap them in, they won’t work because the car won’t recognize them.

Lot of things are possible in the modern era as far as software, but you’re in uncharted territory and that gets expensive fast.

What do you want the Recaros for?
