If everything goes back together and you have parts left over, those parts are clearly not critical-to-function and they can be safely disposed of...

 

is it something for the wiper arms? maybe it was already lost in that area prior to you disassembling

 

So looking at the dust and dirt on it, it def seems like it was outside. Gonna take the wiper arm out again and see tomorrow

It looks like a jumper clip...slides into a jack with some add on

 

This is the clip for the magride connector. It is supposed to lock the metal clip from moving out so the connector doesn't fall off. But the plastic part falls off so easily so I haven't even bothered to put them back. I think the metal clip alone is sufficient to keep the magride connectors on.

It clips onto the spring clip and then rotated into place to prevent the clip being depressed…
