WTH is up with my remote start?

I read that they come stock with remote start, but mine does not work at all. I had a CEL but turned off those codes with HPTuners thinking that would fix it but it did not. I tried locking the doors once to 3 times, then pushing the start button. Nothing. No lights (except locking the doors), no fuel pump trying to power on. Nothin. Any clues on where to start?

Did you hold the start button for a few seconds after locking it?

Yup. Nothin. I just went out and tried again.
Neither fob will do it?

I only have one fob, and hood is closed

I think depending on the type of code, if it is not fixed but turned off in HPT, until that specific code is fixed, it will not auto-start. I had a "Rear Access Open" code (BCM related) and my auto-start would not work until I got new BCM and fixed the broken wire in/ on the trunk lid. The broken wire fired the BCM.

The only codes I have are for the rear O2 sensors

I am not sure but check the fuse box and see if there is a fuse for the auto start. All check all the BCM fuses and make sure they are all good. I think there are about 5 or 6 of them (BCM). It will be the fuse box in the engine bay.
I thought that after my o2 sensor codes were fixed that I would be able to do it, but nope. I WAS able to get the lights to flash after I hit the lock button 2 times and held the start button but it didn’t try to start. It’s really eating at me that this isn’t working.

Check all the BCM fuses.
All BCM fuses checked fine.
Full tank of gas. I verified with my GM pass-thru that there are no codes.
-hood is closed
-no codes (not even in history)
-no TPMS codes
-New remote battery
-full tank
-battery in car is good
-fuses are good
-wiring is good
- doing correct method to start it

it’s almost like it’s not programmed to do it???
The only “error” I have is the AFL is disabled because of my aftermarket headlights but that’s all

Got it!! Cleared the codes with GM TLC and it works! I guess the diablo, HPT, and Snapon passthru software were not clearing it.

Still working flawlessly. I even got my new remote programmed! That was hella easy to do!
