My 14 coupe recently started telling me to service suspension system
It would usually go away after a few minutes of driving but now ...no dice on all the time ..as well as my power steering inactive ...dash light and alerts sound

I would take a look at your mag shocks and go from there. Sounds like one or more of them was leaking and is now beyond gone.
Good luck, rock auto has them in stock and replacement you can find write up here if you search.

Rear shocks are easier and less money to do. I've liked the mag shock ride.

Haven't done much to the car at all ..just recently picked it up used. I do know it's not stock...headers ..corsa exhaust ..pulley2.55 ...not sure how hard it was run ...not really in a position to take it to a tuner at the moment ...want to do as much of the work myself as I can get away with to not only save some cash but also for the experience...just not familiar with the magnetic ride at all.

Probably was working it's way loose when it was randomly popping the DIC messages and then became permanent when it fell out.

Man ...you know I feel pretty dumb now ...because I think I'm at fault in this situation....for whatever reason the box around my air raid was actually pulling my filter off and kept tripping my maf. Sensor ..I got fed up and removed it Un knowing that ot was mounted through that ground....so lesson learned

We all learn!

At least it wasn't a catastrophic failure!

FYI for future reference..., the MagRide shocks can be completely purged of oil, and that won't cause the car to throw a code. The only thing that MagRide can code on is if the wire coil that's wrapped around the shock that makes the magnetic field that controls the oil viscosity is open-circuit or shorted-out, or if one or more of the suspension position sensors at each corner is busted. The system could conceivably be smart enough to "see" that changes it makes to the magnetic field strength have no effect on shock damping, and in so doing conclude the shock is leaking. But it isn't (smart enough).

Don’t feel dumb brother. It’s just nice to see you could admit it. That’s stand up for sure. I learn something everyday on here that’s for sure. I’m no mechanic, but try to fix everything I can without having to pay some mechanic 3X as much, and these guys here will do just about anything to help fellow V owners. Welcome to the forum and enjoy the best car ever made!! IMO
