Texas summer is coming...What are you guys using? Dont really care if its V branded or whatever. I am more worried about stowing it, as there isn't a ton of cabin storage in these cars and it would either need to go in the back seat or under the rear of one of the seats.

Idk, I personally always hated those.
One I showed folds decently, and I just put it behind passenger seat when not in use.
Ones above are also thin as hell and don't really do much good here in TX.
But lets get real, interior will still be in 150's sitting out in the sun 😭

This is the one I have on the V right now, but all the reflective material is now loose, got a solid 4 years out of it thu.

You are probably right. I'm sure the foil stuff reflects a lot better than matte gray plastic. I have had great experiences with those custom fitted shields like you mentioned, just wasn't sure if there was anything better out there. Its easy to throw a folded up cover in the back when you have a truck but this car is a little tight for storage.

I’ve had my covercraft in the window of my V for like 7 years. It holds up fantastic and doesn’t look like tin foil. I actually bought 3 for other vehicles and they all perform just as superbly and get used daily.

I use this one for my V2:

It fits great, hasn't worn out (also had the same brand for my Tundra for 5 years in the sun everyday), and made in USA.

I also have a Heatshield for my V. Live in North Texas as well.

I use this one on another car. Will be getting it for the V as well.

Try to find Gold one, maybe on their website. It reflects/works/lasts way better in my opinion.

Edit:
Did not realize you have a V3. Idk if this particular one will fit it.
That's exactly what came with the 2011 that I just got from Florida, fits very well and stows in the rear under the floor of the wagon (in the shallow compartment above the spare tire area).

I have the same experience with mine.

Hey there! I know this post is pretty old, but I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is looking for windshield sun shade ideas. Living in Texas, I totally get the struggle of trying to keep your car cool in the summer heat. Personally, I use a foldable sun shade that comes with a compact pouch for easy storage. It's a great option if you're tight on cabin space. Also, if you're still looking for car sun protection, SnapShades has some awesome options that'll keep your little ones comfortable during hot car rides. Check it out https://snapshades.com/car-sun-protection-for-infants/. By the way, I'm new to this forum, so it's great to connect with fellow car enthusiasts. Stay cool out there!

Agree with folding Covercraft unit. I use the bag for it, too. Not a fan of roll-up. I'm having a hard time finding one to fit my RS6 Avant.

I ended up getting the Heatshield one made for the CTS. I like it. It fits so well that you dont even need to put the visors down and hardly any light gets thru. I roll it up and leave it in the back seat in the summer. It makes a big difference.
