Which Heat Exchanger...

Was thinking of the Weapon X track attack HX unless you guys know of a better one? Pump recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Had a Track Attack in my Coupe, but went with the C & R on the Wagon, primarily due to the inlet and outlet locations. The C & R hooked right up to the stock hoses... Just my 2 cents...
Either one is a great improvement over the stock plastic piece.

Track attack and C&R are good direct fit options. Vadder is a nice unit too but more involved install and bleeding needed

I can attest to the significant increase in performance of the C&R heat exchanger over the factory unit in the form of lower IAT2's and recovery as well as ease of installation. And if you were wondering, I painted mine before installation.

I am running a Peirburg CWA100-3 pump with good success, however there are a lot of pump options. A pump that bolted to the stock location without any other modifications to the car was important to me.

I used the Fluidyne because I got a good deal on it. Has a convenient drain cock on the drivers side.

C&R works great, that's what I've got.

The CSF unit looks nice as well, I've got one of their air to air intercoolers on my 7.3l F350 and one of their radiators on my track car and both are excellent.

I've got a question for you then, since it is thicker than stock does it end up reducing the clearance towards the engine? Reason I'm asking is because I wanted to upgrade the radiator at some point since I'm in Arizona but the DDP intake is only like a millimeter or two from rubbing against the stock radiator.
Been using the Track Attack II....no complaints at all.
I have the CSF on my car, it's a pretty nice piece. I did have to notch the bumper support a bit to get the power steering cooler lines to clear, but YMMV.
I have a Dynospeed HX and Varimax pump, works great.

Can't really speak to that since I don't have a DDP intake. It DOES get pretty tight in there with the HX and the aluminum radiator adding thickness to the "sandwich" of all the various coolers. It's hot here in NM also, which is why I wanted to add the Pierburg pump and the higher capacity radiator and HX to keep the heat down...

If you get the whole kit with spal fans, it actually gives you more room. Works fine with DSM 4.5in intake, and I also had RPM 5in on there before. Belt changes are also easier now. If you do upgrade, stick with OEM ~187 degree Tstat, unless on custom OS, and able to control fans at lower temp.

^^I have a plate system too. So that's like an extra 1in+ that won't be there on other cars.

What is the best way to hook it all up, I have a under the hood tank, Pierburg pump, waiting on my reinforced brick to arrive, and i'm picking up a Track Attack HX from someone next week.

One person said:
Bottom of the Tank > Inlet of Pump,
Outlet of Pump > HX,
Outlet of HX to Bottom of the Lid,
Top of the Lid > Inlet of Tank.

Another person said:
Bottom of Tank > Inlet of Pump,
Outlet of Pump > Bottom of Lid,
Top of the Lid > HX,
HX > Inlet of Tank.

There are a few different posts discussing this, some people have said they go from the tank to the brick, then to the hx, then to pump, finally back to tank. Mine is plumbed bottom of tank to the pump, pump to hx inlet, hx outlet to bottom of the brick, top of the brick to top of the tank.

Yes actually (they’re expensive af) but I was talking to Race Proven Motorsports about tuning my car and they said Interchillers suck. However, watching CSP’s YouTube videos on it, they swear by it. So I don’t know, I haven’t heard anyone who has one complain about it tho….
A guy I know with a V in town here in az has an inter chiller and he was kind of meh about it when I asked him his thoughts. He said it definitely keeps it cold but if I remember correctly he wasn’t like “yes you should definitely do this mod”. I think for most of us the better heat exchanger and usual cooling mods are enough. I just worry with the inter chiller that it’s another system that can break and for the cost I can’t justify it at this time.
