I have a 2013 V wagon (MT) and can't seem to pick the right fuse for the cutouts. I first tried fuse #15 but the cutouts only worked intermittently. I then tried fuse #26 and seemed to work fine, but didnt want to overload anything so pulled. Is there a dedicated accessory add-on fuse like in some cars I have owned in the past? What is #18?

Whether or not it'll be a problem really depends on how much current the cutouts need in order to open/close, and whether or not the circuit you're borrowing to power them has its own loads. It looks like they come in a fairly wide range up to around 7A. If the circuit you choose has a15A fuse and the stuff already on it draws 10A peak, and your cutouts draw 7A peak, there is a possibility you'll end up blowing fuses when you operate the cutouts. #38 is a good choice because, provided you don't have anything wired in to the car's AUX circuit already, you can be sure all the juice on that circuit is going to go to the cutouts. #17 is the lighter socket in the console, I think. It'd make a viable option, too.

I have a 12 coupe and used #38 for my cutouts. Only problem is my side mirror notification sensor lights stay on constantly now.
