Which Black and why?

Raven Black or Black Diamond...which is your preference and why? I would think that the Diamond would hide dirt a little better with the metallic in it?

Raven black would be easier to match paint in the event of a touchup, whereas the black diamond usually needs entire panels to be redone because of the way the metallic flake is applied. From my experience, the Raven looks clean only when you just washed it and as long as it is in a hermetically sealed chamber.....also on overcast days during dusk. Outside of those times, good luck.

Thanks, nothing is more beautiful than a freshly washed black car...until 5 mins later. LOL. I have a black Mustang right now that is murdered out...I love how it looks, but dont know if I want to go thru this again. The Thunder Gray looks great too.

Couldn't be more on target, lol! Looks beautiful under those conditions, otherwise shows every imperfection and is covered in dust 5 minutes after washing. If you try to use a California duster it often leaves wax residue streaks and potentially mars the surface by pushing the dust around after you spent all that time using a 2 bucket wash method, high end microfiber, foam cannon, CR Spotless water filtration, and blow dry to avoid exactly that. My wife believes my 2011 RB Coupe causes me more stress than enjoyment but I love it! The Thunder Gray I have seen looks awesome and might be more manageable.

TriCoat Diamond. + For when it's in the sun, it's amazing. Minus if you ever have to repaint any section and get it to match.

I like my diamond alot. It shifts color grays n blacks depending on the light your in. You can't beat it. But I will agree with blown376. Color matching is a pain. Ask me how I know lol.

I love the way the sun makes my black diamond sparkle. Much easier to keep clean but there is nothing like a deep black paint that has just been washed and waxed. Problem is in normal everyday use it is hard to keep raven black clean enough. My prior car was a 2000 BMW 540i in cosmos black which is very similar to black diamond but not quite as sparkly. BMW added some additional sparkle and now calls that color black sapphire.

Disappointed in the Blackwing color options. No BDT for one.

Raven black 100%.
Not a fan of the sparkle, in my opinion it just dilutes the color.

I had to repaint part of my Carbon Flash Saab Aero, it was a pain to come up with a blendable match. Wishing it was just black.

Black Diamond regardless of hiding dirt.

My red coupe is just as difficult to keep clean. 5 minutes of driving and it's covered in dust.

Thinking about having it wrapped in DIRT!

I have a Raven Black Vagon and had it treated with RestoreFX/ClearFX brand of nano-coating {"ceramic") and it looks fabulous even after driving in the rain, etc. I've owned black vehicles before and hated having to try and keep them looking good but this is the answer IMHO...!

Damn dude, it's not that bad is it? Made my night... made me laugh, but I feel your pain about the dirt

Black is timeless. You just got the wrong color... the Black Diamond is on point.

Living in the desert makes every vehicle impossible to keep clean so at least I'm not alone here - no vehicles are clean if they've been driven for a few hundred feet.
Thanks everyone, I wound up getting a Silver Frost!
