when to upgrade injectors

Gents,
Just recently acquired a 2011 Vagon - prior owner added 2.55 Lingenfelter pulley, cold air kit, and modified exhaust, with magnaflow exhaust without cats. Car just tuned by a local experienced shop, and made 562 rwhp. Drives great.

The tuner suggested I might want to upgrade injectors to ID1050x. While I am sure this has been covered before, so forgive me, curious if any reason to do this with current mods in your guys' experience, or if should consider only if planning additional upgrades (unlikely). The injectors alone are $1024 + plus ~2 hours labor to install + retuning.

Thanks!

typically run 93 octane

Also - stock injectors as asked below

The general consensus to be safe in any ambient temperature is to upgrade when changing supercharger speed from stock. You have an upper pulley so I’d say your tuner is looking out for you come winter time.

Are we to assume you're on stock injectors? Or are you on 850's and he's suggesting 1050's as upgrade to those?

If you're on stock, then yes, I'd upgrade. And if you're going to upgrade, go with more than you need now instead of doing it twice and leave yourself room for growth. You said you typically run 93, do you have E in your area?

Thanks for thoughtful replies. Definitely running stock injectors. Not using E85, as not easily available near me. Using plain old 93 octane...

Curious - what happens come winter time? Cold air require bigger injector?
Yes sir. Denser air means more mass entering the cylinder and requires more fuel.

Cold air is denser than warm air. So the same cubic volume of air actually includes more oxygen. That means you need more fuel to keep your air/fuel mixture in a safe range. Ask your tuner what the IDC (Injector Duty Cycle) was during tuning. That should help in deciding.
Upgrade those injectors ASAP! Dense air is coming.

Thanks. In FL, I only wish we had occasional cold air!
Get 1300 injectors and you can thank me later.

Contact vendors directly and you'll get a better deal than $1024.
We have both 1050 and 1300 in stock. PM for pricing
I wound up putting in 1050 injectors. Per my tuner, definitely helped and car is running fabulously. Will try make a separate post in short order.
