Hey guys, just picked up a new to me V3. Been a ford guy my whole life (sold a 2020 gt350 for the V). I am having a hell of a time figuring out a square setup for my wheels and tires. I have checked the forum and found one V3 write up on 19s 10.5 wide square, but everything else is for the V2. Can you guys point me in the right direction if there is a write-up on this already or just feel free to share your square setup that works.
Thanks!

Only time square setups talked about that I've seen on here is snow tires. I'd start there.

To echo Rboughne1, I've only seen square setups talked about for snow. The wheel offsets are so different on this than anything else, I gave up trying to figure it out and bought factory sized snow tires. 19 inch wheels are an odd duck in these sizes and moving to 20 inch might be something to look into if you don't mind less sidewall.

  • I miss the sound of the Mustang! The V’s muffler is ridiculous overkill. In handling there’s no comparison. The Mustang is faster and handles better on the twisty stuff…..and the manual 6speed!!!! I know they are slower than the dual clutch, but shifting gears is so engaging. The V is really good out of the box, but the GT350 is the king. I don’t think the V is close to the same league. But the V is a monster and fun to drive fast AND drive daily. The comfort of the ride and interior quality isn’t even a bourse race. I think the Mustang is a race car that you could drive daily. The V is a luxury and comfortable car that you can race.

GT350 faster? I think not - Not stock vs stock at least. I've beat them in a straight line (dig and roll) and its a driver battle on the track. I think you perceive 'faster' with 'louder' but they are peaky motors and are torqueless down low. Oh and the V doesn't have a dual clutch.

I don’t disagree in a straight line. The V is a powerhouse and that’s not what the GT350 was designed for. I don’t agree on the handling. If your a great track driver maybe you can keep up/be a little faster but for the average Joe the out of the box handling is significantly tighter and more precise. The Mustang puts the power down better as well (In fairness to the V, this could be eliminated buy running wider tires, I think the tires are undersized given how much torque she puts down.

GT350 0-60 4.2 sec vs CTS-V 3.6 sec, despite being about 500lbs heavier.
You will be surprised how good the heavy V is on a track. Here’s a good video following a GT350R.
