Hey guys I’m looking into buying a 2016 cts v just really want to know what I should know before making this purchase. I wanna know things like maintenance, long term reliability, things that just happen to the car due to certain milage, modifications I should do as soon as I get the car and what to look for when purchasing one used. Also this would be my first supercharged car which I am excited for thanks for all feed back and can’t wait to be officially apart of the community

What price, options, and mileage if we may ask?

Just make sure the trans shudder TSB has already been done (all GM models with the A8 trans were effected), and check if it was used as a Cadillac track car by seeing if the factory warranty was voided (not a big deal, but good to know in negotiations). From a reliability standpoint, the engine is bulletproof (assuming it is stock), and as long as the trans TSB mentioned above was completed BEFORE the torque converter was fried and valve body contaminated, you should be ok.

I'm not sure about long term reliability but all of my issues with the car have been basically cosmetic. Make sure the carbon fiber trim isn't delaminating, seems to be a common issue. Also check the shocks aren't leaking, definitely a pricey replacement if not under warranty. I had my steering wheel replaced for the stitching coming apart.

Sorry it took forever reply work too much throughout the day to check this forum out but the price of it would be 65-70k with less then 30k miles but I am just being patient before I make a purchase and options I’m really open on Im not too really picky on options

The bug will bite you... And you'll want more power...

Aside that. All the above. Find a good non abused one. The cue was better in 17.5/18/19...listen to us all and get a God damn alignment properly, NOT FROM THE DEALER..

She'll be happy...watch oil pressure. Had my oil. Pump fail and new motor under warranty.
May i ask what do you mean by alignment properly what does the dealer do that does make it proper ?

Search button bud.

However cliff notes. Some have some booty twerk bad under hard accel, when I mean big think she she's like she's a 55 Chevy on big tires.

Now the cure, which is discussed in djs, rbough1ne, beleieve lt4 Mike and a few others and my thread. Do the control arms. Then get an alignment. The dealer unless they're good doesn't take the time to really go through it. This isn't a normal sedan or an escalade..

You need a pro and a pro system like a Hawkeye or something of that nature. I as well as other have also posted before and after and the toe is usually what's way off.

Pretty much everything and any question has been covered by most of us. These are considered rare cars or basically bought by older people who do not mod. So everything is basically think lt4 camaro and work your way back. All the stuff, sunroof basic claims, get the trans flushed etc. Rear end. Oil changed and enjoy the car. Or mod it and enjoy it even more.
