What exactly does this plug do??

2088 Views 12 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  713V
Was doing some cleaning and ran across this.... passenger side firewall, between ecu and valve cover.... its unplugged and looks like it's attached to an inline module on the fuel rail. Can anyone enlighten me what it's for and maybe why it was unplugged? Do I need to plug it back in?? V runs great no issues.

Flex fuel? I might do some looking at flex fuel kits and see if anything similar. Just out of place to me. Also has a white wire coming out of one harness plug that goes down to the ECU it looks like.

Second the flex fuel idea. Looks like the DSX kit’s plug & connector along with the “white wire.”

Wow, well ok.... thank you very much. It's been there since I bought it, I don't know much of anything about flex fuel. Or what might be missing to complete the system.

I think I need to do some more poking around and see if there are any other parts installed that I might not of known about having todo with that specific kit. I would think the rest of it would still be there

Have someone look at your tune and verify it has also been "demodded" safely.

The pics you posted looks as if the kit is still intact. I’d take it to a performance shop and let them check the car out. I’d be running pump gas until I had the tune looked into like @Blown376 said. No telling what all is done to that baby!

Yes definitely, I agree with yall. I just had the car tuned a few weeks ago, and he asked what was done, but I didn't know about that. He looked but didn't get really into poking around. You think he would of seen that in the original tune? I did change the to 1050x with a cam.
I'm no tuner, but I would imagine he/she/they/them would have seen the E tables. From factory, the OE tables can adjust for a small amount of E, as many brands may contain up to 10 or even 15% content in their gasoline.

It would be a good idea to have a conversation with your guy.
