What did you do to/for your V today?

Just thought it would be a great way to discuss what members have been doing to their cars recently.

Today I did an oil change and gave it a wash.

It’s your muffler bearing.
Just kidding. I’ve got headers. Are you able to install headers in your state? You might try replacing the doughnut or gasket along with new bolts and see if that solves it?

Went to Test n Tune today at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. 1st pass was 11.90 @ 122, second pass 11.03 @ 133 (that’s when they told me I needed a fire jacket so I got one at the Pro shop), last pass was 10 96 @ 134 spinning down almost the whole track. Then drove home with a McLaren and Lambo. Great day all in all!

Damn dude. You take moving picture about as good as I do. I saw an Escalade V on the highway with Manufacturer tags and tried to take a picture. I got a lot of reflection from my dash and the shot SUCKED!!

It very well could have been due to the crappy roads here in Washington.

4KHD ain't got shit on you! Vescalade!
I sprung for the Grom VL2 Vline.
This is exactly what I think I've been waiting for. I daily drive a '22 GMC Sierra AT4, and the infotainment system is so much better than the V lol

Also let us know if you install a front facing camera, or upgrade the backup camera. I've always hated that the V's backup camera doesn't have the rear backup trajectory lines on the screen... And it would be really nice if the side view mirrors would auto tilt down. IIRC there's a module somewhere that would enable the mirror tilt, I just can't recall what it is.

Oh, and if anyone else explores a rearview camera mod for the V, please report back...I love the one on my truck. So much better.

My plan is to install a front and rear camera with the VL2. I'm still exploring my best option because my '10 doesn't have a factory backup camera. I'm reading threads trying to see if there is a way to integrate the factory camera comes on in reverse feature but also be able to flip to it on the dash and have it come on while driving. Same with the front but I will probably wire that to a switch/button. Still trying to decide on which cameras and a clean mounting solution. I'm hoping to 3d print a bracket that will let me use the license plate light point to mount.

I'll make a thread if it comes out halfway decent.

Today I signed the papers so it should be on a truck to me by Monday or Tuesday!

Hopefully it will be an easy, straightforward install... I'm not too familiar with the VL2, but I followed along on the other two popular head unit swaps... Can't even recall the names now but one was a Tesla style huge screen.... And I think with those cars that already had backup cameras, it was a seamless transition, insofar as the backup camera switching on when in reverse...I also seem to recall that without a camera change, the new head unit also included the rear backup trajectory lines, without any extra configuration.
