What size tires are y’all running with 17”x10” wheels in the rear? I just picked up a pair of Weld S71 wheels. Going to use the factory wheels/tire up front for now. Eventually going to get some matching Weld’s for the front, most likely 18x9.

What would you recommend for a front tire ? 18”x9” wheel

Don’t the tires have to be within 1 inch in diameter of each other so he doesn’t throw any TPMS codes?
Yes you need to stay within less than an inch imo on the front and rear tire heights. Mine throw tpms codes because I don’t see a reason to install the sensors in my drag wheels. I do not have a set of front runners for my car… yet. @MrSurly has insight on your correct front runner tire that will hold the weight of our cars. I saw them on his car last week just can’t remember exactly what they were.

I have Billet Specialties Winlites on my car, 18x5 fronts, 17x10 rears and run TPMS in all 4. The front TPMS are installed with bands. Work great.

Rear tires are M&H drag radials - 275/50/17 (28" tall)
Front tires are M&H radial front runners - 185/50/18

Never heard of a TPMS throwing a code because of the size of the tire, it’s monitoring pressure, it’s not a wheel speed sensor. The tire height difference only really matters on AWD cars.

Not true on these cars. It won’t throw a TPMS code, it will throw a stabilitrak code if there’s much deviation from stock.

Tire height differential can cause a Stabilitrak code as Karch said. I put traction control into competitive mode for the drag strip anyway

Makes more sense, that’s from the wheel speed sensors not TPMS.
