I need help guys And gals new to the v world!! Just purchased 2 weeks ago!
And their is a weird clicking sound when under harder acceleration or I can say it gets louder then quieter when just idling. 2017 CTS V I can take a video of it maybe that can help! Not loud enough I don’t think for it to be a lifter and I know the previous owner he actually had the lifters replaced about 10k miles ago.

Remove the supercharger drive belt and see if the noise goes away.

Lifters replaced already? What’s the mileage? Any mods? Like maybe a cam to warrant the lifter replacement.
Sorry to just get back to you. Lifters have been replaced. 42k miles currently

Sometimes the high pressure fuel pump for the DI system makes a clicking/tapping noise…..totally annoying but normal.
Maybe that’s what it is. I can’t post video for some reason? That would probably help

supercharger isolator probably needs to be changed to the phenolic type
This hasn’t been done yet I can try this next.
