I want to start off by saying I have read all of the posts about engine and SC noise, however; I think this is something different I'm hoping someone on here has an idea. The car has 112, xxx and had the factory recall at 70, xxx and after that, I had a reinforced brick and isolator put in. from what I have read sometimes the isolator will make a rattling noise. this is like a rattling noise at idle and take off higher than 2k RPM the noise is either gone or completely drowned out by the exhaust. My question is has anyone replaced the SC isolator and had any problems with a new rattling noise like this? videos will be posted today when I can get off work. The noise started around 100, xxx, and then I went on a deployment and upon my arrival, I discovered the noise has since gotten louder and become more noticeable since I got the car back from my parents, any ideas or places to start looking? Thanks in advance guys!

I haven't dealt with any supercharger troubleshooting myself but from what I've read take off the belt and see if the noise is gone, if it is gone you most likely should have another isolator put in. Before it was changed out, your spring isolator could have caused some damage in the port that it sits in allowing for some play to slowly develop in your new isolator.

Still using a spring loaded coupler in the blower?
The factory recall may have replaced the supercharger with a new one, but when mine was replaced they used a spring loaded coupler. I had to put in a solid isolator myself. I'm not sure but I think they changed the recall to go back to the stock isolator so what you have depends on when it was done.

That's interesting and I have not read that yet definitely something I will try when I get off work today thank you for the idea!

I believe so, could the spring be worn out and allow room for play?

I see I see I'm going to check that coupler today thanks for the information!
