LOL just pay 30 bucks or whatever for the carfax. Most dealers will give you the service history if they have it too.

I'm sorry, but if you need someone exactly as posted above. You can't afford the car. Don't buy it and slap a bunch of eBay shit on it and ruin yet another example... BTW, these cars ain't cheap to maintain... Im apolgoize if this is harsh but cmon. Remember that last genius who bragged and blew up the car and disappeared....

Ps you can any dealer and I mean any dealer and they'll give you the run down for service history. I think what. Car fax is like 20 bucks versus the thousands you'll save... Don't be cheap...

It's not an insult it's reality....

Watch, he'll buy it an expect every forum owner to know the car rolls eyes
How are these cars expensive to maintain? Other than the expensive tires it chews thru its just an LT4 in an alpha platform chassis. Most all the parts are pretty available and decently priced. I dont see many huge issues on these cars, especially not compared to its German super sedan cousins. My friend had that M5 with the V8 that needed new main bearings every 30K miles. The V2s had the isolator problem but these blowers are pretty solid IMO. My CF trim all peeled and replaced under warranty, but nobody buys a GM product for the interior lol.

As far as Carfax, its not an end all be all either. Not everyone reports to it. Same with Autocheck. Most shops dont really report to carfax because customer doesnt like it. Where they get most of their info is public records (crash reports), or purchasing it from the folks who make the estimating software a lot of insurance adjusters use like CCC or Mitchell. So if the police were not called and/or insurance was not involved, the carfax might not get dinged. Also I've seen cars with a scratched bumper show up as moderate damage, as well as pretty good front end hit called minor on carfax.

When I was shopping for a V3 in Houston, I want to say 1/3 to 1/2 I looked at had body work done, but all had a clean carfax. If you know what to look for its not that hard. Tape lines near fixed glass that wasnt removed like the front or rear windshield are tough to hide, and tricoat colors like our white are very hard to blend correctly unless you are skilled, especially when the sun hits it and gives it that cream color.
