Hie everyone! I'm new to the CTS-V and I'm ready for a wagon. What I don't know is what options were available and what the option codes are on the build sheet. I know a few, Recaro's, Sunroof, different colors for calipers and some seat insert colors. What else is there? Is there a link to the options lists?

Thanks!

I am sure this is online somewhere....I just have no idea where it would be consolidated for easy reference. Maybe someone has a bead on it for you.

I'm completely willing to update this with additional info if desired and the info is presented to keep it all in one post. If anyone has a VIN for a color with a missing RPO or something I can look it up and get the RPO.

Interior colors
AFF-Ebony
AFH-Light Titanium
AFG-Ebony w/Cashmere inserts (2011 only, having tracked around 20% of 2011 production I've only found one car with this so far, based on sedans I've found this was not available with Recaro but I can't say for sure that it wasn't)

Wheels
2011
Q32 - Painted Silver
P80 - Polished
RBJ - Graphite

2012-2014
RUX- Painted
Q6P - Polished
RBJ - Graphite

Trim
3AS - Sapele Wood

Steering Wheel/Shift Knob
53F - Suede

Seats
W2E - Recaro

Sunroof
CFN - Sunroof Delete
C3U - Ultraview Sunroof

Transmission/Rear End (Listed together because they are tied together)
MG9/MN6 - Manual GT4 - 3.73 Axle
MX0/MYD - Auto GU5 - 3.23 Axle

Calipers
J6E - Yellow (Tied to Graphite wheels in 2011-2012, separate option in 2013-2014)
J6F - Red (2013-2014)

Paint (I put a little work into figuring this out after the original posting and it may actually be accurate now.)
GBA - Black Raven (all years)
GLK - Black Diamond (all years)
GBN - White Diamond (all years)
GAN - Radiant Silver (all years)
GLH - Thunder Grey Chromaflair (2011-2013)
GBE - Crystal Red (2011-2013)
GGU - Evolution Green (2011)
GTR - Opulent Blue (2012+)
GHA - Mocha Steel (2012, 2014? I'm confused on this, looks to have come and gone and come back?)
GLB - Stealth Blue (2013)
GWS - Glacier Blue Metallic (2013)
G7E - Red Obsession (2014)
G7Q - Phantom Grey (2014)
G7U - Magestic Plum Metallic (2014)
??? - Colors I'm forgetting completely (I think they are all accounted for)

Grill
5XR - Black Chrome (these were all dealer installed but could be listed on invoice, available in 2013, 2014. I'm listing this dealer installed LPO begrudgingly)

There are tons of other RPOs but it's all for stuff that is standard. I'm not sure why the silver calipers, standard trim and standard steering wheel don't have RPOs on the build info when things like the Sunroof Delete do.

Not sure why you'd worry about RPO codes since you already know you want a Wagon with Recaros. That will be hard enough to find, everything else will be negotiable.

For instance, you find a great Wagon with Recaros, Sunroof, low miles - and red calipers - but the RPO for the vehicle suggested it originally came with yellow calipers, would you change your mind on buying it? :D

With that said, a brief google search using the terms "CTSV RPO codes" will bring up several lists and methods of searching known codes... here's just one:

You'll be lucky to find a (low mileage) wagon at all. Decide which transmission you want and snatch up the first one you can find that has it, 'cause it's not likely that you're going to have a lot of color/option choices...or be ready to travel as you search the world over for the option pkg you want...

You should definitely restrict your search to one of the 2014 only colors with a manual, no sunroof, suede, no wood, red calipers with painted silver wheels and titanium interior. Finding one will be a challenge, if one like that were even built at all. But the challenge will make finding it extra satisfying.

Thanks for the RPO codes! They are very helpful when I run a VIN decoder. Many of the dealerships that list cars don't know what they are selling and the listings don't have much info so I use the VIN.

I'm not trying to find the most optioned car or the lowest mileage car. What I was getting at in the beginning is what were the option packages? I don't know what was available when the cars were new. What was on the option list when you went to buy one? I know Recaros are an option as is the pano roof. Were the Recaro seats part of a comfort or interior package? Did they include the suede steering wheel? Was there a "technology package" that included Nav and camera? I assume a "V" car would have everything and the options would be limited. Sometimes you can't get a particular option unless you have chosen something that allows it. Is there a listing of option packages and individual options? Are there performance options you can't see? Other gear ratios or suspension packages?

There around 25-30 V wagons for sale at any time around the interwebs. I'd like to know what the option packages are so when I'm looking at pictures I can tell what else the car has (if anything) when I see an option like Recaro seats.

Nice to have knowledgeable people available to help out!

Only options that I can recall without playing google detective are the following:

-Exterior color (obvious)
-Interior color (obvious)
-Wheel color (obvious)
-Recaros
-Pano Roof
-Red or Yellow calipers (silver are standard)
-Suede wheel
-Sapele Wood (fake CF standard)

Pretty sure that is all other than dealer add ons, rails, hitches, mats and junk like that no one wants. Nav is standard and leather is standard with heated seats, Recaro option adds cooled seats as well. Basically Recaros and Roof are the only big options that aren't cosmetic.

Thanks blubyu! Its interesting that the suede wheel shift knob is a stand alone option. I would have guessed it was part of an interior package with the Recaro's.

I did notice several different audio RPO codes as well as different codes for wood trim. I think this is a year specific thing and not options.

It is possible the Wood Trim or Suede RPOs changed with year as the wheels did. I don't have much of 2013 or 2014 production tracked yet and don't actually put the RPO for either in my sheet, just a Y or N. i just looked at a couple 11 cars for the RPO I put above on those. I might look into that more later for other years.

As far as tied together things go there isn't much. But there are some things. The Black and White Diamond Editions came with Recaros and I know the black diamond came with the graphite wheels and yellow calipers but I'm not sure on other things tied in on the WDE. They had an RPO assigned to the package too. I'd have to look up what that is, it starts with a P always but wasn't the same from year to year iirc.

In 2011 and I think 2012 yellow calipers were tied to the graphite wheels but in subsequent years you could get any caliper with any wheel.

Nav was standard in all wagon years. It was actually an option on early sedans.

Basically everything on the car is basically assigned an RPO whether it is an actual option or not though. That is the explanation for like the audio RPOs you see. The audio stuff was all standard on V. I think on base CTS there was a base level audio system so as the plant is concerned they need the RPO for the uplevel audio on the V to know to put it on there basically. Same with things like suspension RPOs.

I didn't know about the black and white diamond editions. I thought they were just paint colors.

Do any of the V wagons have spare tires? I have only seen a pic of the Bose sub woofer in the space where the spare would be.

Seats, heated/ventilated driver and front passenger
Sorry to revive an old thread, but this was the closest I could find to the topic after a search.

Can anyone with Recaros confirm that this RPO is present? V's with KB6 appear to have the same heat/cool seat controls as the heat/cool controls present with the Recaros.

Looking to add Recaros to a wagon that previously didn't have them and want to confirm there aren't multiple heat/cool seat control codes. There are a couple of great threads on the rest of the process but they don't go into the option codes on these controls.

I looked at a couple Recaro cars, all have KB6, non-Recaro cars have KA1 which is a heated only RPO. KB6 in the case of the V2 is really a redundant RPO to the Recaro W2E RPO. RPOs are used across programs though. It can help for comparing warranty. If I'm a seat engineer and see warranty on one program and want to compare it to the warranty of another program being able to look up the KB6 RPO on both streamlines things. There would be SUV programs for example with heated/vented seats that aren't Recaros so they would have KB6 without W2E. But any V2 with W2E is going to also have KB6 and vise versa.
