Hi everyone. New to this forum and new to the V2 game and hoping to get some clarification on something.

My 2009 auto sedan was pretty heavily modded by the PO, all the usual mods it looks like and all name brand. Got it looked at and over by JWT and got a fresh tune put on and the car is 10x better afterwards.

My question: is it possible and or okay to swap the upper pulley from my current 2.55 down to a 2.45 or 2.4 while keeping the lower stock? The PO installed a cam but kept the factory pulley. I'd like to get a little more power and more supercharger whine but not have to deal with the lower if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance!

I currently have ID1050x injectors, would those suffice?
Almost for sure, but it depends on all your mods. Ask your tuner what your IDC (Injector Duty Cycle) was after the tune.

Virtually no difference.

Imo, changing the upper pulley at this point isn’t worthwhile. Period.

You are better off using that money for future tires, as getting the best tire is probably the most overlooked mod.

So many people, especially those newer owners, tend to throw the most money at gaining power and skimp on tires and brakes.

Just an observation after reading tens of thousands of posts over 10+ years.

But, actually, more like 25 years since it’s not a Cadillac thing.

Ok, run those, save your money for a future upgrade or something else, imo.

Maybe paint correction and ceramic coat.

An upper pulley change is expensive because it means a retune, not worth it, IMO.

Thank you for your information

What fuel system upgrades do you have besides the 1050's?
The rest of the fuel system is stock

A full break down of your mod list would help. We will be able to inform/ give you options on where to throw $ to improve your current build. As most said, the drop in pulley size wouldn't be worth the coin. Unless you do an upper and lower pulley swap. Sizes, I am not sure. There is a thread on here where guys post their dyno numbers and have a list of their mods which helped them get to those numbers, including pulley sizes. Use the search function and you'll come across it. Congrats on the V!

You can always add an expansion tank to add to add to your cooling mods. Trunk or engine bay. Its pretty cheap and you can do it yourself. I sure multiple venders on this forum have them and are ready to ship.
I planned on adding that over the winter while the car sits. I really just wanted to see if I could add a smaller upper and keep the lower but it seems like the responses I'm getting from everyone is mixed 50/50.
