I just bought a V and its being shipped to me. Havent seen it yet. I know it has afe intake, HX, ice box, TSP headers and exhaust, and 2.4 pulley. I listened to the walk around video at idle, and its pretty damn loud.

I just sold a racecar and want something quiet. I dont care if it costs me power, but would like to have both.

Can I remove the TSP non catted X pipe and put the stock exhaust back in, while still using the TSP longtubes?

I'm not familiar with the stock exhaust and how headers connect on a V sedan. In the camaro world, headers come with connect pipes to attach to your stock exhaust. They sound perfect like that in my opinion.

Can someone explain, how the stock exhausts is setup on a 2010 sedan?

If it's helpful, here's a photo of the stock exhaust on a 2012 wagon (when I first got my car). I think sedans are pretty much the same.

Yea this helps. I guess I could have googled it. So do most aftermarket headers directly replace the cast manifold and catalytic convertors, and connect at that first junction?
Or does the header collector get moved to a new location, requiring an entire mid pipe?

I would just add stock mufflers + cutouts 🤘🏻
It already has TSP longtubes and full exhaust. I'm considering putting it back to stock. I need a car my wife will get in and not stink like gas. She wont come near the camaro.

Here’s a photo of my exhaust now with Kooks 2”headers, Kooks green catted 3” x-pipe that reduce just behind the differential to connect to the stock mufflers. I too was worried about a harsh exhaust note with the headers but I can honestly say it is NOT that much different than stock until WOT! I think cats and stock mufflers are the key.

That coating is very nice. Just noticing your signature... about how much does the 2.4 pulley increase boost with the stock lower?

I'm curious how much power the car might make. So far all I know is it has AFE intake, upgraded HX and underhood icebox (not sure which brand), TSP headers and mid pipe (looks like stock mufflers), 2.4 upper, and a wideband where the clock was. It has a freshly rebuilt blower from Boost Mode racing. not sure if its ported.

The headers are ceramic coated, the SS pipes are just polished. Boost is about 11.5 ish

Your mods are similar to mine, my car ET'd 11.31 @124 (DA 3,000') at full weight last year, so you should have a fun ride when you take delivery!

It might be wired to one of the GDO's if you're lucky.

I have TSP long tubes and no cat on mine and with the cutouts closed its still pretty damn quiet (of course sound is subjective) to me and everyone that has heard it. With the cutouts open it sounds like a supercharger V8 should. The only time I close them is if I'm starting the car very early in the morning to try and be respectful to my neighbors.

Like was said earlier, hopefully they are programmed to the garage door openers, but if not you can always get the manual switch and use that. I wired alligator clips to the wires so I could clip to the battery and the ground in case I need to close/open if the garage door buttons don't work. Takes about 20 seconds.

I also have long tubes no cats x pipe with stock back section/mufflers. In my opinion too loud for daily. I went to a muffler shop and added a pair of glass packs 3”id it makes it perfect. I don’t remember but they’re 20” or 24” long.

I have the feeling it may be too loud also. I had tsp 2 inch headers with 3 inch exhaust on my camaro with straight through magnaflow mufflers. It was too loud and stunk, but it was almost a racecar. I still had a magnaflow resonated X pipe installed and it made a huge difference. It doesnt look like there is enough room for that under the V tho. You're single resonator idea might work well. Lets see if the wife complains first, lol.

If she doesn't like the gas smell...Hi Flow cats work well. I went to Kooks High flow greens when the TSP limit was reached.

What power level on what fuel?

I would prefer to have cats, but I probably don’t want to spend the money on a car I rarely drive and might sell, but then again, I don’t care for the fumes on cold starts.

Just wanted to follow up. The car arrived with some surprises. It actually has a 2.55 pulley, Airaid intake, longtubes (not sure which brand) and full 3 inch exhaust (without cats) that attaches to the stock mufflers. QTP cut outs T'd into the stock piping before the mufflers. I actually dont mind the sound at all. It's very mild until you floor it. It also has injectors, according to the tune, and a wideband. HPTuners says im hitting around 11.5psi with the stock cam. AFR is in the 10s rising to 11s. I can only wonder what has been done to this thing in its past life.

is it common for long tubes to hit the steering column?

I have Kooks that had minor witness marks from one of the steering shaft bolts, but when the car was static, there was clearance. This led to an investigation of the engine mounts, which led to the purchase of the robust CS units. I then painted the shaft bolt head and checked it a while later, never had any transfer of paint to the header, problem solved.
