About to add PAC 1218 springs and BTR hardened pushrods to deal with higher rpm's at the track. 70,000 miles on stock motor. No plan for a cam change. Will run E in an attempt to get deeper into the 10's. 1] Is a trunion upgrade needed with just swapping springs ? 2] Will these springs add enough additional pressure to lifters and cam, so I should be considering oil such as Red line or Gibbs LS30 ?

You should be ok with a 1218, but can change them if you want. You should not push the stock cam past 6500 though. A better oil then the factory fill is always a good idea for track use. We use Redline 5w40 for HDPE cars.
