In all seriousness though, I'd be interested if it were just a whole new mirror. I have no sentimental attachment to my existing mirror and hate the idea of having this strapped over my existing mirror. One huge benefit of something like this is being able to have that low sensitivity setting so that it'll record 360 degrees if someone taps your car in a parking lot and deuces.

The resolution of these 360 cameras isn't going to be good enough to read a plate. I have a few of these cameras, including a higher-end GoPro Max which shoots 5K. I use 'em on my quadcopters. The lens is so wide, 5K really doesn't amount to much. It's the equivalent of about 1666 pixel horizontal resolution with a more normal lens's 120º FOV. You don't get a lot of room to "zoom" in on stuff before the image quality is degraded. You'll know what make and color of car you got tapped by, but probably not much else.

Yeah, I don't understand why they can't just make it a whole new mirror.
Hmmm 🤔 Good question. Prolly wouldn’t be cost efficient if they did them that way. We’d be spending $1000-1500 if they did that I’m guessing

Yeah sure it’s not the best resolution, but still pretty good. Plus for $250 you have way better resolution than our Vs have and side view, and rear cam, not too bad at all. Literally the only thing I dislike about our Vs is that shitty ass rear camera!
