Third Brake Light LEDs Out

1928 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  2012CTSV
2017 V3, and I just discovered that I have three LEDs out on the third brake light.

Looks like THIS is the correct part for my car (I do not have the CF package)

How easy or difficult would this be to replace this myself? Anyone done this before? I did search for this and I wasn't able to find anything.

Thanks in advance!

Its a straight forward swap. Look on YouTube for "jet fuel only " on that channel he covers how to remove the trunk liner witch i would think is the hardest part of that job.

Thanks... I viewed his video of how to replace the spoiler, and it seemed to be the same steps that I would take for this.

Just to put into perspective, the stealership quoted me ~$600, P&L, for this job. In the video, it looks like it takes all of 15 minutes to do, and GM Parts Superstore charges $143 for the part. Unbelievable!

Look on eBay before going to the dealer. You may find one in the same color as your car. They are a lot less than $600 your dealer quoted you, and very easy to replace.
That's a great price. Rock Auto wants more than that.
