Finally got around to refreshing my LSA after about five years of abuse, and decided to get all of the latest and greatest bits and pieces that everyone raves about.

Car: 2009 CTS-V M6

Old Build setup was:

-9.5:1CR
-LSA Block 4.070 Bore
-Wiseco -11CC pistons
-Callies H-beam rods/ARP2000
-GMPP LS3 CNC Heads
-TSP 231/239, .640"/.629", 115 LSA, 112 ICL
-LS9 Head Gaskets
-Jokerz Port LSA Blower
-2.55/9.55 Pulley combo
-TSP headers into stock mufflers
-5 Inch intake
-ZL1 Lid
-This setup made about 15.4PSI on the street

That setup made 785whp/765wtq at Vengeance Racing on a dynojet dyno in January 2019

Pulled the motor out, threw a new set of pistons in it (same part number) Upgraded the wrist pins, deleted the oil squirters, fresh bearings and put it all back together with:

-9.5:1 CR
-Frankenstein M311 Cylinder heads
-Cometic 4.160 .040 Head gasket
-Kong X-Ported LSA Supercharger
-DMS 233/248 .629/.615 LSA 116+XX
-DDP Intake
-Same Pulley combo
-Same 4.070 bore
-Same Rods
-Same -11cc pistons
-This setup makes ~16psi on the dyno (I'm seeing 18 on the street)

This setup surprised all of us BIG time. it made 894.58WHP on 93 octance and 958.81whp on about 65% E. I thought it was going to make ~875 on E, so needless to say, pleasantly surprised and the car is an absolute blast. We think if we ice it down and throw some ignite in it, it may kiss 1000whp

Also to note: Redline on the graph is 93 ran out to 6700, blue is on E (65%) and run out to 7200 since it didn't look like it rolled over at 6700; Super flat up there though!

That’s badass man. I’m hoping to go ported blower soon and then built motor and cam down the road. Hoping for similar track times as you. Your build gives me lots of hope

Did you notice much difference between the jokerz and the Kong?

He changed heads and cam - so not really an even comparison.

New cam has wider duration and more lobe separation, but less lift. I'd expect slightly less boost pressure overall from the cam, but gaging the effect from heads? Who knows!

I was also curious if he saw any difference in porting quality etc. I know their not apples to apples since he switched heads and cam. I was more curious just overall anything he could input. I should have clarified my question better. That’s my bad

The Jokerz Ported blower I had was an old port that looked hand ported and was only ported for a 90mm TB. The Kong X-port deletes the lower center bolt on the snout, and removes a TON of material compared to the Jokerz port I had before. The runners on the X-port are untouched.
