Doing a TH400 isn’t something you do to save money. A TH400 built with the right parts, mounting, custom driveshaft, 9” IRS to hold power and get you a reasonable gear ratio etc.I plan to just take it out for "FUN" lol 8l90 to build plus torque converter 6-8k plus if it goes out again will be another amount down the drain ...th 400 is cheaper to build and it holds more power... just debating on the drivability and high rpms

There is no reason an 8L90 wont hold up when tuned properly. A TH400 isnt going to be a good roll setup.I bought the car so I can enjoy and tear it up...at the moment my setup is nitrous, with port injection ,pulleys and long tubes nothing fancy...but just take out on the weekend and roll race it.
