Suspension creaking when car is stationary.

Hey new to the forum so go easy on me. Got the car about 6 months ago and no complaints at all (seeing as I fell in love with the car many years back when I took the v racing academy they used to offer out here in Vegas) it’s a 2014 with 25k miles so i wouldn’t assume the magride struts are going out , but considering the car is almost 10yrs old I guess anything is possible. so basically the car drives fine I haven’t notice any difference in the driveability of the car, but when the car is stationary and I turn the wheel left to right and you can kinda feel the weight shift from side to side (don’t know how else to explain) there’s a slight creaking noise. As I said it drives fine and I don’t hear it when the car is moving just sitting at a dead stop. Wasn’t sure if it was the struts, something in the steering, or possibly something else in the suspension that could be the culprit? Any input helps, thanks.

I live in Las Vegas too. If you need too have it looked at let me know since I have a lift... Anyway, the struts on my 2013 V sedan had the lower rubber bushings fail and it was metal to metal where it pivots on the lower control arm. Did not know that was where the noise was coming from until one of the mag ride struts failed. Bought a set off rock auto and put them on and the noise was gone. Also, interesting that the car is just a little higher in the front so the spoiler does not hit most parking curbs now.

Thanks bro I appreciate that. Where in Vegas are you located? Did it end up being your front or rear that was creaking ?
Northwest Ann and Jones closest cross streets

Front struts were the issue

sounds good. I’m gonna jack it up myself and see if there’s anything visibly wrong and save you some time lol. But if I ever need some help I’ll take you up on that lift😁.
Cool, I get mine back tomorrow from having the front bumper painted. I will have it on the lift to do some detailing. Getting too to crouch down...

Haha I hear you on that, I’m 29 and feel too old to be getting under the car like that haha.
Sad part is getting on the ground is fine. It is the getting up that sucks. And, it never fails you need another tool and then you get a workout getting up and down...

Haha never fails! Before the v I had a bagged and procharged charger and I would mess with it myself, but now I’m lazy when it comes to doing my own work on the car 😂
