I remote started my car, got in, pressed the start button and the shifter would not leave park. I was holding the brake too. After turning the car off then back on it was fixed.
This happened once this weekend and once yesterday. Anyone ever experience this?

The brake pedal switch has a learn feature. I could be that it was slightly out of range. You can check it with a scanner that has the programming feature.

Well I’m a moron. If you don’t hold the brake while pressing start it won’t let you shift. The steering wheel and seat move into position, and the dash comes alive but the start button stays yellow. If you hold the brake and hit it again, it turns green and you’re good to go. I was supposed to hold the brake when activating it after remote start.
