Hello Everyone -

This is my first post. I just got a 2011 V Coupe A6 about 10 days ago... already getting a brand new tranny, it broke just a couple days of getting it, but its under warranty so no biggie. Worse things happened to my Dad's new ATS. And I just came off an 09 V6 mustang... I had 99 problems and Ford was every last one of them.

Anyways....

At 100+ mph at WOT, I hear a muffled fog horn sound like something is either opening or closing. Is this normal?

Are you hearing the supercharger whine?

Nope, It's definitely not the whine. The sound specifically starts around 100 mph. I know the whine from the supercharger, this is different. The muffled fog horn is the best analogy I can get. Ill record it when I get my car back (expected today).
