I don't have a starter yet for this LSA swap and I have a buddy with an LS-3 Camaro that has a weak sauce OEM starter. I've heard it's an issue with those cars, does the same issue plague the LSA? Same starter or different?

Since my motor is 403" with 11:1 and LSA, I don't want a weakling starter, what do you guys recommend?

No but why does that matter to start up?

We do have 11:1 blower engines too no problem
The rotational mass of the blower and the fact it's positive displacement.

Yeah 11:1 is where I'm at so that's a good sign!

stock LS2 is 10.9 comp and stock starter is fine, then u add a camshaft which will lower dynamic compression during cranking so the actual static comp dosnt matter as it will be easier then a stock cam with same compression to turn over

So LS2 or LS3 starter? I see a lot of people saying the LS3 is stronger and smaller? These Holley headers should clear either one, I would think, but I'll have to verify.
