I'm digging the Formula in Lucerne Blue.
Thanks. That's my '70 Pro Touring project. She will be getting an LSA swap with a T-56.

That's no joke. It's blowing the tires on a 3rd great roll now!! Boost comes on so much quicker with the 2.45" pulley now.

You'll never run straight gas again.
Yep going to be like a drug. All I'm getting is E-60 here in town. I've heard rumors that there is some real E85 about 2 hours away. Lol Guess I'll have to stop on my way thru there next week!!

You need your passenger side exhaust aligned.

Actually need both sides aligned. Borla is like that on both sides. Just haven't taken the time to have it fixed.

E60 is about all you want unless you have more fueling. Everything I've seen, you don't gain a lot going to full E85. I tend to float around E55-E65.

I have plenty of fuel, 73psi and 66% duty cycle on injectors. Yeah doubt it would be a huge gain.

Oh, that makes sense.

Thought about putting a solid roof on when I do the body work but the T-tops are OEM ones and fit nice so they will be cool on a touring car.

Be different if you had a max effort setup, but E60 seems to be the sweet spot for a daily.

T-tops need to stay, one of my favorite things about f bodies.

This. Thanks to flex fuel, I absolutely KNOW I could own a Tesla now. Mostly because there are far FEWER E85 stations than there are Superchargers, and the few times I have gone on road trips, I find myself plotting my course and range so I can fill up only with the corn juice...you know, just in case a roll race happens somewhere on the interstate.

In fact, running corn is WORSE than having an electric car. My total range is MAYBE 150 miles...more like 120 for the most part. And at least Tesla's Superchargers are usually located right off the freeway, whereas the E85 station might be an extra 5-10 miles out of your way (which eats into the range further!)...

That's no joke. It's blowing the tires on a 3rd gear roll now!! Boost comes on so much quicker with the 2.45" pulley now.
Time for some Sport Cup 2's or R888's or NT05R's etc etc!!!

I'm being lazy here - but what's the rest of your setup? Cam (specs?), heads? Headers? Or at least tell us where she dyno'd at if you have it. Something so we can get a feel for how it all turned out...

You'll find yourself cleaning the INSIDE of the exhaust tips on E85 and getting used to them staying clean. You'll get all OCD about getting the exact blend you want (I like E80 or higher - the car just runs smoother...or at least it seems to run better). Then ya got Karch going to two pumps each fillup looking for the perfect mix of power and mileage. And so on.

It's kinda like this: Some guys are leg men, some are ass men, some are boob men. And some guys are E50 guys, some are E65, some E80+, and a few E100 freaks out there. And like sex, some guys don't have enough pump for full E85, some not enough injector, and so on! Those E100 guys are taking some kind of automotive viagra...they need more E than they know what to do with...

So just like everything in life, there's a kink or fetish for every E blend out there. Honestly - I do think being guys, we tend like to overcomplicate things *thinking* we are optimizing something.

It's REALLY important that your exhaust looks perfect. Mainly because that's the only view most other cars will have.

I know what you mean Tri, I like to be ready on the highway for those roll races. I do a 700 mile round trip at least once a month so I'll have to plan that carefully to stay on corn. Not sure of the E -85 scene in the Houston area yet.

My setup is pretty mild. I have Borla axle back, New Era 4" intake, 2.45" pulley, DSX Aux pump, flex, and ID1050X injectors. Probably going to do cooling mods next, then maybe some test pipes or headers. She is a daily so trying to stay fairly mild and reliable on the mods. Plus I have other money hungry projects. Lol

No dyno numbers on the car yet it was tuned with wide band on the street. Will get some numbers in a few weeks.
