I've read on the forums many many times that the secondary cats are hollow and act as resonators. Ive seen some people also post that they're not.

My assumption is that these are getting blown out over some for some reason.

This is to confirm that these are not hollow and they seem restrictive.

Mine were not hollow. They were actual cats. 2011 Coupe

Just removed mine a few weeks ago. Definitely not hollow, they have the same material as the regular cats just less material. I even took them to a recycling plant and got $ for them.

Yes, I've searched the forums many times ever since I pulled the primary cats. There are quite a few threads where people were mentioning that they are basically hollow and act as resonators. This is the reason why I kept them in the first place. I hope that this thread helps people that have searched just as I did

The wouldn't be cats if they were hollow. They are just un monitored.
That's what I always thought, but until I cut them off I was going by the multiple comments made over the years saying that they're pretty much resonators
